Making A Case: Why The Miz Should Win At SummerSlam

Logan Paul shocked the pro wrestling world by signing a contract with the WWE. Now, he is scheduled to have his debut singles match at SummerSlam against The Miz, who he has some unfinished business to deal with.

Going into WrestleMania 38, The Miz was having problems with The Mysterio’s. He challenged them to a tag team match at WrestleMania with a partner of his choice. The fans began to speculate who could possibly be The Miz’s partner, especially since his former partner John Morrison had been released that past November. There were many guesses and predictions but nobody could have expected the actual answer.  Along with with the WWE Universe, Rey and Dominik were shocked when The Miz revealed his tag partner to be none other than Logan Paul.

Logan had made various appearances for the WWE up to this point and even was in the corner of Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 37. He would get involved with the match but this time he was actually going to get in the ring and wrestle. Many fans were skeptical of Logan’s in-ring debut but this is the same man that held his own boxing against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Loan has steed into multiple ventures and held his own in every single one of them. The other non-skeptical fans knew that Logan had the potential to get in the ring and shock everybody. When WrestleMania 38 came around, that is exactly what Logan Paul did in his in-ring debut.

Paul impressed many members of the WWE Universe and was able to more than carry his weight in the match. Much like the in-ring debut of Pat McAfee a few years ago, Logan looked like a natural in the squared circle. In the end, Logan Paul and The Miz stood tall over Rey and Dominik Mysterio as winners. Just pointing it out, this also makes Logan Paul undefeated at WrestleMania. After the match was over, Paul and Miz began to celebrate before The Miz shocked nearly everybody when he betrayed his tag partner and hit him with the Skull Crushing Finale. At first, the fans may have expected this was a one-time thing but The Miz’s actions nearly promised a return.

It was a few months after WrestleMania before Logan Paul ever made a move to get revenge on The Miz. Fans around the world were shocked just a few weeks ago whenever it was announced that Logan Paul had signed a contract with the WWE. In the YouTube video to confirm he had signed his contract, Logan said he had no plans to tag with The Miz ever again. Instead, he set his sights on The Miz and challenged him to have a match at SummerSlam. However, at first, The Miz didn’t seem keen on fighting Logan Paul and continued to try and convince Logan to join his side instead of fighting him after hearing that Logan had signed with the company.

The Miz did his best attempts to convince Logan to not want to fight him. He tried to tell Logan that they could do great things together. However, Logan made his return to the WWE for the first time since signing his contract on last week’s Raw. He finally confronted The Miz, who initially declined his SummerSlam match. Although,  Logan did one of the things he does best and got under The Miz’s skin by belittling him on the microphone. He made fun of The Miz’s “ball situation” and poked fun at him until The Miz was finally pissed off enough to accept Logan’s challenge.

After accepting the match, The Miz attempted to cheap-shot Logan but failed. Logan tackled The Miz to the ground instead and was able to get in a few punches before The Miz was able to weasel away. Logan didn’t stand tall for long before Ciampa showed up and attacked Logan from behind, continuing to do The Miz’s dirty work for him. The Miz and Ciampa looked to double team Paul but Logan managed to get free and escaped the ring. However, there won’t be any running or escaping from each other come SummerSlam. Once the bell rings, we will have to have a winner.

When SummerSlam comes on July 30th, many fans are going to be expecting and hoping for Logan Paul to beat The Miz. However, that might not be the direction that they want to go. Loggan is being booked as the babyface against The Miz even though aul has been one of the easiest people to dislike over the past few years. The WWE fans have booed him out of the building before and now they are expected to cheer for him. While The Miz is the right guy to be put up against if you want the fans to cheer for you, The Miz needs to get the best of Logan and have the fans start to show empathy for Paul and it’s all over from that point.

If the WWE is able to authentically get Logan over with the crowd, Logan will have no issue being one of the biggest faces in the company. If you love him or hate him already, you have to admit that Loggan and his brother, Jake, have become two of the biggest names in entertainment. By having Logan Paul in the WWE, the WWE will gain new fans of Logan’s while Logan can benefit by WWE fans liking him and supporting him in his other ventures. Booth sides have much to gain from each other and we are all looking forward to seeing what Logan Paul can accomplish as a WWE Superstar.
