WWE Raw Predictions: Sasha Banks and Naomi Will Return To Action

WWE Raw is on the road to WWE Clash at the Castle 2022. In this week’s episode, there are two scheduled matches: Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Ciampa for the United States Championship and Rey Mysterio (w/Dominick Mysterio) vs. Finn Balor (w/Judgment Day). Also, the women’s tag team championship tournament that was announced back in May will finally take place on this week’s Raw. Will Sasha Banks and Naomi return to the WWE to take back what they never lost?

In terms of the upcoming PPV, there are officially three matches scheduled thus far: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Universal Title, Liv Morgan (c) vs. Shayna Baszler for the SmackDown Women’s Title, and the finals of the women’s tag team championship tournament. At the very least, it is expected that Seth Rollins vs. Riddle and Bianca Belair (c) vs. Bayley for the Raw Women”s Championship will be added to the card.

With that being addressed, it’s now time to preview and predict the scheduled matches and segments that will actually occur on this week’s episode of WWE Raw.

WWE Raw is scheduled to take place on August 8, 2022, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on USA. Here are some predictions for this week’s show.

Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Ciampa [United States Championship]

On WWE Raw, Bobby Lashley is scheduled to defend the United States Championship against Ciampa, who won a number one contender’s match last week by defeating his current rival, AJ Styles.

This will be an ‘awesome’ (pun intended) rub for Ciampa, as this is his first title match on the main roster where he can showcase why he is one of the best professional wrestlers to get called up from NXT. However, Ciampa won’t win the title just yet because Styles will attack Miz at ringside as revenge for his distraction last week, allowing Lashley to capitalize and retain the title.

Prediction: Bobby Lashley

Rey Mysterio vs. Finn Balor [Grudge Match]

On WWE Raw, Rey Mysterio is scheduled to battle Finn Balor. They battled one on one only once before on the July 11, 2022, episode of WWE Raw, where Balor picked up the win. It would be wise to predict Mysterio here due to 50/50 booking.

However, since this is a new era of WWE, it would also be wise to put an end to 50/50 booking and solidify the momentum of superstars who need it. In order to continue the tease of a Dominik heel turn, maybe Dominik ‘accidentally’ costs his father the match here. He must be mad after getting speared by Edge last week.

Prediction: Finn Balor

Who Will Win The Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament?

On WWE Raw, the women’s tag team championship tournament that was announced back in May will finally take place. Adam Pearce even announced that teams are now being formed for the tournament. Some tag teams that WWE could foreseeably add are: IYO SKY & Dakota Kai, Asuka & Alexa Bliss, Doudrop & Nikki ASH, and Sasha Banks and Naomi.

The latter should win the titles they never lost as a strong, moral sign of justice for their walkout two months ago. Toxic Attraction was also teased as a tag team in this tournament, so this should be interesting.
