Ronda Rousey won the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Liv Morgan at Extreme Rules. That booking decision was originally questionable since Morgan basically lost her title to the same superstar she dethroned in the first place within a span of only three months. However, it seems that Morgan’s loss could be a blessing in disguise because she seems to be going in a dark place that could help develop her character to the next level. As for Rousey, she is once again a big red (or blue) target on SmackDown in this depleted women’s division, and she needs challengers.

The following will provide three brand new opponents for the new SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey on WWE SmackDown.

3.) Shayna Baszler

On WWE SmackDown, Ronda Rousey confronted Shayna Baszler backstage to tell her that she needs to step up her game and bring back the ruthless Shayna she knew and loved from their time in MMA and NXT. At first, it seemed as if Shayna Baszler was going to join forces with Rousey, but she may actually show her ruthless edge by actually battling Rousey for the championship.

2.) Liv Morgan

As mentioned earlier, Liv Morgan’s loss could be a blessing in disguise because she seems to be going in a dark place that could help develop her character to the next level. She could go on an entire redemption arc with this new character she is developing and potentially win back the title on the road to Mania. Sometimes, a loss can be a wake-up call rather than a total failure.

1.) Charlotte Flair

Charlotte Flair actually still has a rematch clause for the SmackDown Women’s Title ever since losing it to Rousey in their “I Quit” Match at WrestleMania Backlash. Charlotte has not been seen on television since that loss, so it would make sense for her to finally return to action and reclaim the title now that Rousey is champion again.
