WWE recently celebrated the 25th anniversary of D-Generation X. HHH, Shawn Michaels, Sean “X-PAC” Waltman, and “Road Dogg” Jesse James were featured throughout Monday Night RAW. X-PAC briefly acknowledged Chyna. While expected, it was still disappointing.

X-PAC is right; Chyna was “their magic ingredient in the DX recipe”.  After years of denying her a WWE Hall of Fame spot, she was finally inducted along with the rest of DX in 2019.

Chyna is a trailblazer

“The Ninth Wonder of the World” was the first woman to compete in the annual Royal Rumble battle royal match in 1999. That same year, she became the first woman to compete in King of the Ring tournament. She was also the first woman to earn a Number One contender spot for the WWF Championship. A few months later, she became the first woman to win the Intercontinental Championship.

Chyna had memorable storylines with Jeff Jarrett, Chris Jericho, and Eddie Guerrero. She regularly competed against women and men. Her career inspired and influenced a number of wrestlers like Beth Phoenix, Jade Cargill, Ember Moon, and Dana Brooke.

She was a pop culture phenomenon as well, appearing on shows like 3rd Rock From the Sun, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, and Pacific Blue.

WWE needs to stop being hypocritical

To fully acknowledge Chyna’s accomplishments and what she meant to the industry, WWE must induct her into the Hall of Fame in solo. Their reasons for not doing so thus far are hypocritical.

Triple H told Stone Cold on his podcast that if young fans Google Chyna, they’ll find out about the adult films she made. She was one of several WWE Divas who posed for Playboy (she appeared twice)At the time of that interview, WWE was still in its PG era. Since they were more family-friendly, they used that to pad their argument.

There are problematic people in the WWE Hall of Fame. One of them has an award named after him (Warrior Award). Jim Hellwig made racist and homophobic remarks in blogposts (scrubbed by his wife) and at college campuses. Hulk Hogan, Kane, Ric Flair, Jimmy Snuka, and Jerry Lawler are just a few more problematic people.

Vince McMahon will likely be inducted in 2023, despite the fact that he spent $19 million to pay off women who worked for him. One of those women was sexually assaulted. Former WWF referee, Rita Chatterton, accused him of rape in 1992. There have been many allegations against McMahon over the years.

Next. 5 referees that should be in the WWW HOF. dark

HHH’s argument no longer holds any substance. It’s time to let go of that narrative and allow Chyna to take her rightful place in the WWE HOF for what she did on her own outside of DX. It was something that she pushed for before her untimely death. Chyna should headline the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2023.
