WWE Raw is on the road to WWE Royal Rumble 2023. In this week’s episode of WWE Raw, there are three scheduled matches:

  • Austin Theory (c) vs. Bobby Lashley for the U.S. Championship
  • Becky Lynch vs. Bayley in a Steel Cage Match,
  • Usos (c) vs. Judgment Day for the Raw Tag Team Championships

In terms of segments, WWE originally scheduled a celebratory Bloodline Acknowledgement Ceremony for Reigns but that has now been changed to the Trial of Sami Zayn.

In terms of the upcoming PPV, other than the Rumbles, Roman Reigns (c) vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, Bianca Belair (c) vs. Alexa Bliss for the Raw Women’s Championship, Bray Wyatt vs. LA Knight in a Pitch Black Match is scheduled. It is very likely that Damage Control (c) vs. Mia Yim & Candice LeRae for the Women’s Tag Titles will be added to the card as well after they battled in different combos in recent weeks.

The following will provide some rapid-fire predictions for what should be an exciting 30th-anniversary episode of WWE Raw.

WWE Raw XXX Anniversary is scheduled to take place on January 23, 2023, at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT live on the USA Network. Here are some predictions for this week’s show.

Usos (c) vs. Judgment Day [Raw Tag Team Championships]

Judgment Day will defeat Usos to become the new Raw Tag Team Champs because they need to solidify their “clean sweep” tag gauntlet victory with championship gold here. In hindsight, it wouldn’t make sense to book Judgment Day to run through the whole Raw Tag Division just to lose the big title match on this special episode, where title changes are more likely. Although the tag divisions should remain merged due to the small number of teams, Judgment Day have been the top tag team on Raw and need the titles to substantiate their recent character development.

Prediction: Judgment Day

Becky Lynch vs. Bayley [Steel Cage Match]

Becky Lynch will defeat Bayley in this Steel Cage Match because she needs to redeem herself from her loss to Bayley on Raw a few weeks ago. In that match, she was distracted by Damage Control and lost due to nefarious means. Now, she proposed a Steel Cage Match to hinder their outside interferences. However, any wrestling fan knows that a Steel Cage won’t completely prevent said interference. Nonetheless, Lynch will likely get help from Candice LeRae and Mia Yim, who have been feuding with Damage Control in the past few weeks. Due to this assistance, she will win.

Prediction: Becky Lynch

Austin Theory (c) vs. Bobby Lashley [U.S. Championship]

Austin Theory will defeat Bobby Lashley to retain the U.S. Championship because it seems that WWE is rebuilding Theory to redeem his momentum after failing his MITB cash-in. His main rivals in the U.S. Title scene have been Bobby Lashley and Seth Rollins, whom he defeated in a triple-threat match at Survivor Series to win back the U.S. Title. He defeated Rollins one-on-one via pinfall for the first time in his career in the main event of Raw a few weeks ago. He will likely do the same one-on-one against Lashley in the main event of Raw in front of all the legends.

Prediction: Austin Theory
