Over 10 months after leaving WWE with Mercedes Moné (FKA Sasha Banks), Trinity Fatu (FKA Naomi) has confirmed that she is no longer with WWE.

She has given plenty of hints in recent weeks, dropping WWE from her social media handles and changing her TikTok handle to “TrinityIdentity”. Her Instagram bio has the handle for an account dedicated to her dogs, Tank and Marley. There’s also a link to a high fashion spread that Fatu shot for L’Officiel.

The actual confirmation came via her latest Instagram post. It is for her autograph signing/photo op session at WrestleCon on April 1 and 2, the same days as Night 1 and Night 2 of WrestleMania. In the comments of the post, someone named Joe Bermudez said, “Girl…are you even still in WWE?” Fatu replied simply, “no friend.”

Trinity Fatu in demand

Next Thursday, Fatu will be appearing at WaleMania. While she has supported Moné at Wrestle Kingdom 17 and Battle in the Valley, next weekend will be her first wrestling-related show that she’s appeared at since leaving WWE last May. She has done several signings at various conventions.

Since leaving WWE, Fatu has been busy walking in runway shows during New York Fashion Week and LA Fashion Week, appearing on red carpets, and has been on an episode of Paramount’s Bar Rescue with Moné and Maria Menounos.

There was some speculation that the former champion would be part of the women’s Royal Rumble match. Last month, Ariana Andrew (FKA Cameron) claimed during a virtual signing that Fatu didn’t return because she was recovering from shoulder surgery, but that was yet to be confirmed.

She sparked rumors of a return a few days ago when she quote-tweeted a WWE clip from Raw. In the now-deleted tweet, Fatu said “it was Jey running to his brother’s aid (not Jimmy).”

It is unclear if Fatu has any plans to return to wrestling in any capacity. Since leaving WWE, she has been living her best life. She deserves so much more than she was ever given in WWE and we wish her all of the best in whatever she does next.
