Trinity Fatu will thrive in the IMPACT Wrestling Knockout’s Division

Fans are looking forward to seeing Trinity Fatu make her IMPACT Wrestling debut for a new phase of her career. 

Trinity Fatu’s move to IMPACT Wrestling is a big deal. Her entire 13 years in professional wrestling were wrapped up in WWE, coming through their farm system before moving to the main show in 2012. Now a decade later she’s heading out to a new company where there’s an opportunity to breathe new life into her career without the overwhelming shadow that is WWE booking.

Trinity was always a consistent performer on the WWE roster. Over time she would amass an almost cult-like following, with fans always pushing to see her get her moment in the spotlight. There were flashes along the way, such as her 140-day run as WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion, but those moments were never as frequent as some of the other ladies on the roster. Still, fans always wanted to see Naomi as a central figure in the women’s division.

It looked like that moment was upon her when she and Mercedes Mone (then Sasha Banks) picked up the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in 2022. It was a moment that seemed like things would change for both women and the tag team division. But like many other things in WWE, that would not be the case once those in charge of booking started messing around, leading to both ladies walking out of the promotion.

After wide speculation of where she would go, or if she’d return to WWE, it looks like Trinity is now set to step into another company’s ring for the first time in her career. What awaits her? Some interesting opportunities in the form of the IMPACT Knockout’s Division. Many will argue that this women’s division is the best-booked group in North American professional wrestling.

This company doesn’t have to deal with criticism from fans to book more women’s segments and matches, as they are frequently the focal point of the promotion’s content. With women on the roster like Deonna Purrazzo, Jody Threat, Killer Kelly, and KiLynn King, there are a wealth of potential matches on the horizon. Hopefully, she can get involved with Jordynne Grace before she leaves and Mickie James when she returns from injury. Plus, imagine a world where AEW and IMPACT work together again and the women are included. Trinity would have to be involved with that collaboration.

It will be interesting to see Trinity show a new side of her character in this run. Who will she be? Is she going to present herself in an entirely different way? Or reveal more of the personality that wasn’t allowed to flourish in the WWE? These are the exciting questions her fans are looking forward to watching unfold.
