WWE SmackDown Predictions: Logan Paul Will BURY Rey Mysterio

facebooktwitterreddit

WWE SmackDown is continuing its road to Survivor Series, which started to shape up with some blockbuster War Games matches pertaining to any ongoing SmackDown feuds, especially LWO vs. Street Business. On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Logan Paul will return to confront U.S. Champion Rey Mysterio, Iyo Sky is scheduled to defend her WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair, and Santos Escobar is scheduled to battle Montez Ford in an old school grudge match that could be more of a banger than Brawling Brutes vs. Pretty Deadly last week.

In other news regarding WWE SmackDown, LA Knight challenged Roman Reigns for the World Title, which should be solid exposure for Knight in the main event scene, especially with John Cena in his corner. Kevin Owens shockingly got traded to SmackDown in exchange for Main Event Jey Uso going to Raw and is feuding with Dirty Dom. Carlito got heinously attacked by Street Business in the backstage area before he could even get his momentum going. Finally, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller are feuding with the nascent alliance of Dragon Lee and Cameron Grimes.

With that being said, the following will focus on the announced matches for WWE SmackDown and the idea of Logan Paul BURYING Rey Mysterio on the road to WWE Survivor Series 2023.

WWE SmackDown is scheduled to take place on October 20, 2023, live on FOX, and Logan Paul will BURY Rey Mysterio en route to WWE Survivor Series 2023.

Rey Mysterio v. Logan Paul Face-To-Face [Segment]

As much as anyone hates to say it, let’s be real. Logan Paul is dethroning Rey Mysterio. Paul had a 2023 New Years Resolution that he would win a championship in WWE this year. It’s already closing in on November, so his time for that so-called championship is definitely now.

Prediction: Logan Paul Will Bury Rey Mysterio

Santos Escobar vs. Montez Ford [Old School Grudge Match]

It really does not matter who wins this match, as they are both right hand men in their factions without a direction in their singles career. In order to remain in Lashley’s good graces, Ford can win here. Escobar won’t look too bad in defeat since LWO won’t have Carlito at ringside for assistance.

Prediction: Montez Ford

Iyo Sky (c) vs. Charlotte Flair [SmackDown Women’s Championship]

Even though Charlotte Flair got pinned in her world title match with Iyo Sky and Asuka at FastLane, she still gets a title shot. It would be completely asinine to end Iyo’s first title reign on a SmackDown, so she will retain, thanks to a distraction from Jade Cargill, who has beef with Flair.

Prediction: Iyo Sky
