Quick predictions for NXT Halloween Havoc 2023 Night One

We are well into the fall season, and WWE’s NXT brand will commemorate the occasion with its fourth annual Halloween Havoc event.

Unlike last year’s event, which aired on the Peacock streaming service, this year’s show will take place over two weeks on the USA Network during NXT’s usual Tuesday timeslot. In the main event, we will see Becky Lynch defend the NXT Women’s Championship against compatriot Lyra Valkyria. Night one will also feature a pair of “Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal” matches and the semifinals of the Women’s Breakout Tournament.

So, let’s not waste any more time and get to these predictions.

Who will win at NXT Halloween Havoc Night One?

Lexis King’s debut: The former Brian Pillman Jr. has received a solid introduction to the WWE audience, and that will continue with a presumed enhancement match against…someone. WWE has yet to announce his opponent, and we probably won’t know who it is until King walks into the ring. We do know that this will be a quick showcase for the promotion’s newest signee. Prediction: Lexis King wins via pinfall

The Family (c) vs. Chase University (NXT Tag Team Championship): Most fans expect Chase U to lose this match, but will they drop the fall clean or Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail cost them the match? Given that Andre Chase threw in the towel for Hail in her title match a few months ago, expect the latter. Prediction: The Family retains the NXT Tag Team Championship (Tony D’Angelo pins Andre Chase)

Blair Davenport vs. Gigi Dolin (Lights Out Match): While Dolin is far from the best worker in the women’s division, she has done well in these gimmick matches, and having a capable opponent like Davenport always helps. With a babyface women’s champion that has taken on all comers, either of these ladies could win this one en route to a title shot, but we’ll play it safe and go with the heel. Prediction: Blair Davenport pins Gigi Dolin

Kelani Jordan vs. Ariana Grace (Women’s Breakout Tournament Semifinal): While both women have flashed potential in the ring, they are very green. As such, WWE will probably keep this one short. The athletic Jordan has shown a bit more upside than Grace, so look for her to win. Prediction: Kelani Jordan pins Ariana Grace

Karmen Petrovic vs. Lola Vice (Women’s Breakout Tournament Semifinal): Everything said about Jordan vs. Grace applies here. Both women have looked like wrestlers with only a handful of matches under their respective belts, but again, this will probably last less than five minutes to keep them from getting overexposed. With a babyface likely to win on the other side of the bracket, we’ll likely see Vice advance to the finals. Prediction: Lola Vice pins Karmen Petrovic

Roxanne Perez vs. Kiana James (Devil’s Playground Match): This glorified No DQ match could steal the show. Everyone knows how good Perez is and James has come a long way in the ring (her gimmick is another story), and they could put together something special. Even with some fans bellyaching about Perez’s push, she hasn’t won a big match in a while, so she’s due for a reversal of fortunes. Prediction: Roxanne Perez pins Kiana James

Bron Breakker vs. Mr. Stone: Even though the former Robbie E has plenty of in-ring experience, his WWE character has no wrestling credibility, so this match with Breakker shouldn’t be much of a contest. So, assuming the match happens, the former NXT Champ will get the quick win and terrorize Stone after the match to set up Von Wagner’s big return. For Wagner’s sake, this last-gasp attempt to get him over better work. Prediction: Bron Breakker pins Mr. Stone

Becky Lynch (c) vs. Lyra Valkyria (NXT Women’s Championship): WWE has kept the booking for Lynch’s title reign simple, and it has produced good television. Using Lynch’s star power to highlight other women in the division has worked like a charm, and Valkyria is next on the list of wrestlers who will benefit from wrestling “The Man”.

dark. Next. Roxanne Perez is WWE main roster ready

These two will have a legitimate chance of having a good match, and they have the talent to pull it off. Unfortunately for Valkyria, her efforts won’t result in a title change. Prediction: Becky Lynch pins Lyra Valkyria, retains the NXT Women’s Championship
