Quick predictions for NXT Halloween Havoc Night Two
Last week, WWE celebrated the Halloween season early with the first of two Halloween Havoc specials. With the holiday officially here, the promotion will wrap up this annual commitment with the second.
Night one gave us plenty of entertaining matches, including a classic between Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria. Hopefully, this seven-match card follows suit. Thankfully, bouts like Carmelo Hayes vs. Ilja Dragunov and The Creed Brothers vs. Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo will help the NXT brand reach that goal.
So, let’s predict how this show will turn out.
Who will win on Night Two of NXT Halloween Havoc?
Tiffany Stratton vs. Fallon Henley: Henley is in that “green but has potential” category, so we’ll learn a lot about how good Stratton is here. Her outings with Lynch put a lot of those questions to bed, but we still need to see if she can carry someone through a good match.
From a booking perspective, Statton has lost a few big matches recently, so it wouldn’t surprise anyone to see her bounce back against Henley. Prediction: Tiffany Stratton pins Fallon Henley
Kelani Jordan vs. Lola Vice (Breakout Tournament Finals): The winner of this match gets a women’s title shot, but neither woman seems like an obvious candidate to dethrone Valkyria. From an upside standpoint, Jordan seems like the better choice, so let’s go with her. Prediction: Kelani Jordan pins Lola Vice
The Creed Brothers vs. Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo (Tables, Ladders, and “Scares” match): Presumably, this is a TLC match that can be won by pinfall. Given who’s involved, this should be a fun one. The finish will show us whether the Creeds appeared on the Oct. 30 Raw as a prelude to their call-up or as a commercial for this show (or both). Prediction: Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo win (Garza pins Julius Creed)
Chelsea Green and Piper Niven (c) vs. Jacy Jayne and Thea Hail (WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship): Are Green and Niven elevating the tag titles? Probably not, but they’ve been more interesting than most of the duos WWE has thrown the belts onto. For that and a few other reasons, it’s unlikely that they lose the belts here. Prediction: Chelsea Green and Piper Niven retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship (Green pins Thea Hail)
“Dirty” Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Nathan Frazer (NXT North American Championship): Mysterio has done little to shake the “weak champion who needs a good opponent to carry him” allegations, even with WWE baking his shortcomings as a worker into his character. It has led to an underwhelming reign, but it’s not likely to end here. After all, he’s wrestling the guy who hosts the faux Last Week Tonight with Jon Oliver show. Prediction: Dominik Mysterio pins Nathan Frazer, retains the NXT North American Championship
Ilja Dragunov (c) vs. Carmelo Hayes (NXT Championship): This is a classic case of WWE putting a pay-per-view match on TV after squeezing out all of its usage on the bigger shows. Regardless, this should be a treat for the fans who don’t have a Peacock subscription. However, they shouldn’t expect a title change. Dragunov just won the title, and Hayes is busy defending himself during the ongoing “Who attacked Trick Williams?” investigation. Prediction: Ilja Dragunov pins Carmelo Hayes, retains the NXT Championship
