The WWE has a huge interest a star free agent. How much of an impact would he make with the company?

According to Fightful Select Patreon, the WWE has shown heavy interest in free agent Will Ospreay. The report states there have been conversations and contact between the two sides, but Ospreay side has not confirmed that as of yet.

Ospreay is one of the biggest free agents on the market. It has been rumored for some time now that AEW is more than likely the landing spot for him.

The WWE should sign Ospreay because he is one of the biggest pro wrestling stars in the world. The benefit for Ospreay, if he jumps over, is the amount of new feuds he can have. World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins has flirted with the idea of those two having a feud for quite some time now. Even more recently on Twitter after Rollins won at WWE Crown Jewel this past Saturday. Ospreay can have a number of new feuds in WWE starting off with Rollins, but also: Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns, United States Champion Logan Paul, Ricochet and so many more. Ospreay would also just elevate the men’s roster as a whole.

There are just endless amounts of new opponents for Ospreay, and he would be presented as a huge star. We have already seen that with American Nightmare Cody Rhodes since he jumped over from AEW. Even though she hasn’t wrestled yet for the company, Jade Cargill has also been presented as a huge star. As has Kairi Sane who returned to the company at WWE Crown Jewel this past Saturday.

With all this in mind, the WWE should go after Ospreay because it would pry him away from their biggest rivals in AEW. With all the rumors swirling about them as the most likely landing spot, just imagine how huge of a signing it would be for Triple H to pry him from Tony Khan.

The company could also restart the NXT United Kingdom and have that centered around Ospreay and be built around him. Just imagine how that would impact the company and building up NXT having one of Europe’s biggest stars being the face of one of your brands.

All in all, Ospreay is going to do what is best for him and his family. But also, more than likely, it will depend on how the creative would be for him as well as for any company he may join.
