WWE Raw Predictions: Shinsuke Nakamura Will Call Out CM Punk

WWE Raw is continuing its road to WWE Survivor Series 2023, which is shaping up with some blockbuster War Games matches pertaining to any ongoing Raw feuds, especially involving Judgment Day. On this week’s episode of WWE Raw, two matches have been officially scheduled: Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Akira Tozawa in a grudge match, and The Miz vs. Bronson Reed vs. Ricochet vs. Ivar to determine the next number one contender for Gunther’s InterContinental Title. Also, will Nakamura call out CM Punk after the hidden GTS teases and CM Punk catchphrases?

In other news regarding WWE Raw, Cody Rhodes finally defeated Mr. MITB Damian Priest in his journey to finishing the story, Seth Rollins retained his World Heavyweight Title against Drew McIntyre in a show-stealer, and Sami Zayn defeated JD McDonagh and actually won the match with the Blue Thunder Bomb. Drew McIntyre and Judgment Day could avenge these babyfaces in a War Games Match at Survivor Series. Speaking of Judgment Day, Rhea Ripley also retained her title against Shayna Baszler, Nia Jax, Raquel Rodriguez, and Zoey Stark in an epic fatal five-way.

With that being said, the following will focus on the two announced matches and the idea of Shinsuke Nakamura calling out CM Punk on the road to WWE Survivor Series 2023.

WWE Raw is scheduled to take place on November 6, 2023, live on USA Network, and Shinsuke Nakamura will call out CM Punk en route to WWE Survivor Series 2023.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Akira Tozawa [Grudge Match]

Shinsuke Nakamura will defeat Akira Tozawa because he is redeeming himself from his consecutive title match losses to Seth Rollins and is still developing his nascent heel character with eerie promos in the backstage area. Some of these promos are actually alluding to someone “setting him free.” As many wrestling fans know, the Cult of Personality theme song by Living Colour, which is synonymous with CM Punk, has lyrics that say “only you can set me free.” Also, Nakamura even delivered the GTS to Rollins back at FastLane in October.

Now that WWE is officially starting the build to Survivor Series, Nakamura will finally call out CM Punk after all of these teases and references. With Survivor Series being in Chicago this year, it’s only a matter of time… it’s clobbering time.

The Miz vs. Bronson Reed vs. Ricochet vs. Ivar [IC Title #1C Match]

The Miz will defeat Bronson Reed, Ricochet, and Ivar to become the number one contender for the Intercontinental Title to solidify his recent babyface turn against Gunther last week during Miz TV. Contrary to popular belief and his lackluster booking in the past year and a half, The Miz is one of the greatest InterContinental Champions of all time. Not only did he win it nine times but he also made it eminently prestigious with his dynamic promos, and riveting character development. He is the perfect superstar to put over Gunther as the next greatest InterContinental Champion.
