WWE Raw is kickstarting its road to WWE Royal Rumble 2024, which is shaping up with some top candidates like the returning CM Punk and Jade Cargill to be potential Rumble winners this year.

On this week’s episode of WWE Raw, four matches have been officially scheduled: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship, Nia Jax vs. Shayna Baszler, Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn, and DIY vs. Imperium in a 2 out of 3 Falls Match. Also, Shinsuke Nakamura revealed that the opponent he was alluding to all along was Cody Rhodes. Many speculated it would have been CM Punk. However, it seems WWE has inserted a fresh filler feud for Cody Rhodes on Raw before he goes to SmackDown to finish the story against Roman Reigns on the road to Mania.

In other news regarding WWE Raw, Randy Orton returned to Raw last week to let Mama Ripley know that Daddy is home, and he solidified that claim by defeating Dirty Dom in his big return to Raw. However, it looks like he is done with Judgment Day on Raw because he then proceeded to officially join SmackDown to get his revenge on The Bloodline after telling Jey Uso on Raw to stay out of his business with The Bloodline. CM Punk also returned to Raw in the main event to cut what many would say a “tame promo” that actually told an impeccable story in just five minutes.

Although Gunther retained the title against The Miz, The Miz wants another shot at the gold. Elsewhere in the mid card, Bronson Reed and Ivar had a double countout and will likely settle the score in a rematch this week. In terms of the tag divisions, Tegan Nox and Natalya failed to win the tag titles from Chelsea Green and Piper Niven last week, so new challengers will likely arise in the coming weeks. On the other hand, Creed Bros are set challengers, as they won the tag turmoil last week to become number one contenders for Judgment Day’s Tag Team Championships.

With that being said, the following will focus on the four announced matches and the idea of Seth Rollins burying Jey Uso on the road to WWE Royal Rumble 2024.

WWE Raw is scheduled to take place on December 4, 2023, live on USA, and Seth Rollins will BURY Jey Uso en route to WWE Royal Rumble 2024.

Seth Rollins (c) vs. Jey Uso [World Heavyweight Championship]

Seth Rollins will defeat Jey Uso to retain the World Heavyweight Championship because Seth Rollins already planted seeds for future feuds with Drew McIntyre and CM Punk, and Jey Uso has not been built well enough to become world champion yet. Besides, Rollins is not going to lose his world title on a random Raw with minimal storyline rationale foe a title change. This title match is merely a means to show that Jey Uso can deliver on a main event level and have a strong showing before inevitably losing and redeeming himself with a consolation prize on the road to Mania.

Prediction: Seth Rollins

Nia Jax vs. Shayna Baszler [Grudge Match]

Nia Jax defeated Zoey Stark last week, so she was bound to battle her tag partner, Shayna Baszler, this week. Nia Jax will win this match because she is gaining momentum for a future reignited “FaceBreaker’ feud with Becky Lynch on the road to WrestleMania, which was teased on Raw recently. Nia and Shayna actually have a ton of history because they actually were tag team partners and former tag team champions in 2020-2021. However, today’s Nia Jax is not the same Nia Jax and she will prove that with a dominant win over Baszler in her journey to Mania.

Prediction: Nia Jax

Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn [Grudge Match]

Drew McIntyre will defeat Sami Zayn because he needs to rebuild his momentum for his future world title shot against Seth Rollins, which will likely occur at the Royal Rumble. Sami Zayn made some compelling points last week in conveying that he and McIntyre had similar paths in the troubles they had with The Bloodline. They both lost to Roman Reigns in their hometowns of the UK and Montreal Quebec, Canada at Clash at the Castle and Elimination Chamber respectively.

However, their reactions to their downfalls were different and thereby a testament to their abilities to being championship material when their backs are against the wall. The heel McIntyre remains salty about The Bloodline and wants revenge, whilst the babyface Zayn dusted that salty chip off his shoulder and continued fighting for redemption. This storyline is WrestleMania worthy and the WWE fans get to witness it for free on Raw. This should definitely be a banger.

Prediction: Drew McIntyre

DIY vs. Imperium [2 Out Of 3 Falls Match]

DIY will defeat Imperium in this 2-out-3 Falls Match because they are the best team to dethrone Judgment Day for the tag titles and they are on a long winded journey to becoming number one contenders again. They went far in the tag team turmoil but were at a disadvantage since they started the tag team turmoil and had to run through five other teams. Creed Bros won’t dethrone Judgment Day. DIY has the better story and a better connection with the audience that warrant their inevitable victory on the road to Mania as well as solidify their memorable reunion this year.

Prediction: DIY
