Former WWE Champion and fan favorite confirms she’s not hurt but remains off television

The WWE women's division is deep, but there could be room for nearly everyone rather than keeping performers like Dakota Kai off television.

WWE President Nick Khan made some interesting comments about All Elite Wrestling and the idea of “benching” performers. While he claimed WWE doesn’t do that, it was too easy to debunk that egregious statement. Another performer took to social media to tell the wrestling world that she misses it and that she’s not hurt, causing fans to respond that she’s been “benched” despite Khan’s claims.

“I miss wrestling and I miss you guys,” Kai posted on Twitter. “Not hurt btw!”

Fans responded to the post that they miss her and hope for her return to television soon.

Four-time WWE Women’s Tag Champion, Dakota Kai, hasn’t been seen on television since March 17 when she defeated Ivy Nile on Monday Night Raw. After that she had another match against Nile on Main Event, picking up the victory there as well. Still, Kai has been absent from television.

Dakota Kai is a popular performer who should be on television

Kai is another one of those performers in the WWE women’s division who is a fan favorite, through and through. There was a loud contingent that wanted to see her defeat Lyra Valkyria to become the first to hold the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Valkyria’s run with the title is picking up steam, especially with this feud against Becky Lynch on the horizon. But Kai would have been a great selection to build the legacy of that title as well.

Kai is one of those names who’ve traveled around the world and performed in the promotions that highlighted women’s wrestling long before WWE changed its presentation of the group. Not only do the people in the crowd and online love her, but she also has the ability to hang with anyone in the ring.

Nick Khan’s statement about WWE not benching performers caught so many off guard because it is so easy to disprove. Many people pointed to Omos, who was kept off television, loaned out to NOAH, only to be brought back to the US to be benched again because he was getting over with the fans in Japan. Well, add Dakota Kai to the list of people who are oddly kept off television, even though fans would love to watch her perform each week.
