Looks like Karrion Kross’s time with WWE may be up. Fightful Select reported on Monday that neither he nor Scarlett was at WWE Monday Night Raw, nor were they planned for the show. Furthermore, Fightful was told that their deals are set to end this weekend and that a new deal hasn’t been offered to either performer. That’s major news for one of the more popular names on the roster, especially coming out of a newsworthy edition of SummerSlam.

The report would go on to mention that neither were informed that their contracts would be set to lapse, which creates the opportunity that something may change between now and the time the contract comes to an end. This is still an interesting development, playing into a lot of speculation about Kross’s future.

Karrion Kross’s future with WWE called into question

Karrion Kross has been a surging name on the WWE roster this year. Fans continue to get behind him, chanting his name nightly and meeting him with rousing responses on the few occasions he does have matches. There have been open questions about why WWE has failed to respond to the fan support with booking him in solid matches and toward a potential title run, but that is typical behavior for WWE.

This update becomes even more interesting when taking into account Kross’s response to a fan chant breaking out during the SummerSlam post-show. During the post-show event, fans chanted “We want Kross.” Triple H turned to the crowd and said, “You want Brock? Well, you got him.” Insinuating that the fans were chanting for Brock Lesnar, who had a controversial return to the promotion moments earlier. Kross responded on Twitter.

“Unreal. They write the scripts. But the fans write the truth. Thank you, tick tock,” he posted online.

There’s no telling if this was in-character like Kross’s scathing interview after WrestleMania a few months earlier, or if this was truly Kevin Kesar taking out his frustrations with, he and his wife’s status with the promotion.

During Night One of SummerSlam, Kross was defeated by Sami Zayn. As he and Scarlett left the ring, fans cheered for them in what some speculated seemed to be a send off.

Karrion Kross and Scarlett are seemingly out of their way of WWE. For more news and opinion about this contract matter and where they may appear next, stick with Daily DDT.
