WWE Raw Predictions: Damian Priest Will BURY Rey Mysterio

WWE Raw is kickstarting its road to Clash at the Castle 2024, and WWE has already confirmed one World Title Match for said PPV: Damian Priest (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the World Title. It looks like rematch clauses are back in the WWE because Drew McIntyre has a statutory rematch clause after losing his World Title in five minutes to Damian Priest via MITB Cash-In at WrestleMania 40. On this week’s episode of WWE Raw, three matches has been officially scheduled: Damian Priest (c) vs. Rey Mysterio in a Non-Title Match, Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser, and New Day vs. Authors of Pain.

In other news regarding WWE Raw, Drew McIntyre is not the only superstar feuding with Judgment Day. Braun Strowman had been warned by JD McDonagh to not interfere in Judgment Day business, yet Strowman disobeyed that command and has been chasing JD McDonagh and Carlito backstage. Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark became the number one contenders for Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill's Women's Tag Team Titles and were offered some assistance by Sonya Deville. However, Baszler and Stark rejected the offer, as they are eminently confident in handling their own business.

Chad Gable earned a non-title victory over Zayn and never got pinned in his IC Title Triple Threat Match with Sami Zayn and Bronson Reed, so he still has a claim to the championship. There have been rumors swirling around about Kurt Angle and Creed Bros potentially being added to Chad Gable's faction with Alpha Academy. That could be a game-changer in his quest for gold. Bron Breakker also interrupted Ricochet's rematch with Ilja Dragunov, as he has been letting out steam due to his frustrations with management not including him in the King of the Ring Tournament.

With that being said, the following will focus on the three scheduled matches and the idea of Damian Priest burying Rey Mysterio on the road to WWE Clash at the Castle 2024.

Damian Priest (c) vs. Rey Mysterio [Non-Title Match]

Damian Priest will defeat Rey Mysterio because Priest is the world champion and should not lose a non-title match on some random episode of Raw, especially since he needs the momentum for his actual highly anticipated world title match against Drew McIntyre at Clash at the Castle on June 15.

Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser [Personal Rivalry]

Sheamus will defeat Ludwig Kaiser because he needs his revenge for Kaiser screwing him over in his KOTR Tournament Round 1 Match against Gunther. This victory will give Sheamus the momentum he needs to target the only championship that has eluded his long ternured career: the IC Title.

Prediction: Sheamus

New Day vs. Authors of Pain [Non-Title Match]

AOP will defeat New Day because they need to solidify dissension in The New Day that Karrion Kross teased when he made the bold claim that Kofi Kingston is holding Xavier Woods back from super stardom. Kofi Kingston and Big E became World Champions, whilst Xavier is still lost in the woods.
