WWE WrestleMania 40 Predictions: The Rock Will BURY Cody Rhodes

Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso [Brotherly Love Feud]
There has been a brother vs. brother match every 15 years in the WWE at WrestleMania: (1) Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart at Mania 10, (2) Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy at Mania 25, and now Jey vs. Jimmy at Mania 40. Jey Uso will defeat Jimmy Uso in the city of Brotherly Love to get revenge on Jimmy for costing him the World Title against Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2023, against Austin Theory for the U.S. Title on SmackDown in 2023, against Judgment Day for the Tag Titles on Raw in 2023, and against Gunther for the IC Title in 2024. Jimmy has screwed Jey out of every title in the WWE.
Other than Chad Gable, Jey Uso is another strong candidate to dethrone Gunther for the IC Title, as that championship would not only be his first singles title but also be a great reward for his popularity with the fanbase throughout all of 2023. Jey Uso can also use that title to prove why he can perform at a main event level and rightfully be called "Main Event" Jey Uso. If someone is bound to dethrone Gunther, it has to be a babyface who is over with the crowd. That way, when Gunther loses the title, it leads to a huge pop and elevates a rising babyface as Gunther moves onto the main event scene.

LA Knight vs. AJ Styles [Personal Feud]
AJ Styles will defeat LA Knight to solidify his heel turn since his return to SmackDown. It can be favorably argued that Knight should win this match at Mania as a payoff for how OVER he has gotten as a popular babyface. However, that payoff should have come in the form of a mid card title victory at Mania. Since he's not battling for a mid card title, a victory over AJ Styles would only shoot him back up to the main event scene, where he already failed to win the World Title. Styles needs this win to maintain his credibility as a mainstay veteran who can elevate the main event scene going forward.
LA Knight won't be hurt by this loss because he can still seek a consolation prize in the form of the U.S. Title. As mentioned earlier, he would be the perfect individual to dethrone Logan Paul for quite frankly the same reasons Jey Uso would be perfect for dethroning Gunther. That championship would not only be his first singles title but also be a great reward for his popularity with the fanbase throughout all of 2023. If someone is bound to dethrone Paul, it has to be a babyface who is over with the crowd. LA Knight can also use that title to prove why he can perform at a main event level.
