This is the match that sets the stage for WrestleMania by identifying the main eventer poised to challenge and frequently take the title from the champion. That’s a moment meant to bring forth the next phase of business built around the men and women holding the titles. Does WWE always make the right choice in the eyes of fans? Absolutely not, but it still becomes clear who the company has picked as the faces for the immediate future.
