The 2025 WWE Hall of Fame class has its first inductee, as news broke on Wednesday that Triple H is once again getting the award. PWInsider first broke the news, which was since confirmed by other outlets.
Opinions about Triple H will vary, but it is hard to argue against the fact that he was one of the most important wrestlers of his generation. He, along with Shawn Michaels and Chyna played a major part in ushering in the Attitude Era in WWE. It was that time that helped create one of the biggest booms in the industry and built some of the most popular stars that are still beloved today.
Triple H’s resume holds up when compared to nearly anyone in the industry. He’s a 9-time WWE Champion, 5-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, 5-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, 2-time WWE European Champion, and 3-time WWE Tag Team Champion. Whether fans wanted to see it or not, Triple H grabbed every title that was available to him at some point or another during what was dubbed the “Reign of Terror.”
Triple H’s last match was in 2019 and he began to step into fulltime roles behind the scenes. In 2022 he officially retired from in-ring action.
Triple H is currently the Chief Content Officer of WWE and is credited for the strong turnaround of WWE’s on-air content which continues to translate into momentum from a business standpoint. He’s not without controversy however, both during his time as an active performer and since stepping into a leadership role. Whether it was the Katie Vick segment, his on-air and off-air relationship with Chyna, or his relationship with Vince McMahon while the latter is named in a lawsuit with serious allegations – controversy is often mentioned when talking about Triple H’s legacy.
Triple H is no stranger to the WWE Hall of Fame. He was first inducted as a part of D-Generation X back in 2019. The WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony typically occurs during WrestleMania weekend. Triple H’s induction to the HOF has yet to be announced by the WWE.
