WWE Clash in Paris 2025 is an international PLE that has to follow an epic two-night SummerSlam event that featured a surprising yet heart-crushing MITB Cash-In by Seth Rollins after CM Punk dethroned Gunther in the main event of Night 1, as well as a shocking yet controversial Brock Lesnar return after a passing of the torch from John Cena to Cody Rhodes in the main event of Night 2. The following will pontificate full match card predictions for what should be a spectacular event.
Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, & Bronson Reed vs. CM Punk, Main Event Jey Uso, & LA Knight [6-Man Tag]
Roman Reigns could be in this match since he did get attacked by Rollins alongside CM Punk and LA Knight on Raw, but there are conflicting reports as to whether or not he will be at Clash in Paris after eating three Tsunamis by Reed. It was puzzling as to why Jey Uso was not out there to help the group, but he would be a suitable replacement for Reigns since he dealt with The Vision at SummerSlam. Since Punk will get his revenge on a big 4 PPV and Knight already blew his world title opportunity, Jey Uso can pin Seth in this match to run back a title match with Seth at the next PLE.
Prediction: CM Punk, Main Event Jey Uso, & LA Knight
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Nikki Bella [IC Title]
Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella teased a future title match on Raw this past Monday after executing a viral moment involving Nikki's past romantic relationship with John Cena. It was only a matter of time until a legit pro wrestling show turned into another episode of Total Divas. However, it seems that Nikki Bella is being used here as a transitional contender for her ally, Stephanie Vaquer. Once Stephanie fails to dethrone Naomi for the world title, she will need a consolation prize as a rising star, and saving Nikki Bella from the wrath of Becky Lynch would justify her targeting the IC Title in the fall.
Prediction: Becky Lynch
Dirty Dom (c) vs. AJ Styles [IC Title]
Dirty Dom and AJ Styles have had a comedic program, as Dom has been cunningly faking his injury to avoid defending the IC title. Styles saw right through Dom and decided to prank him for weeks in an attempt to expose him and get management to put Dom back in the ring. Styles was successful in doing so, but he failed to capture the title at SummerSlam after Dom nefariously nailed him with his shoe. It looks like a rematch will take place in France, where Styles is beloved and would get a huge pop for winning the title after Finn Balor screws Dom and boots him out of the Judgment Day.
Prediction: AJ Styles
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Drew McIntyre [WWE Championship]
After Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul won their match against Randy Orton and Jelly Roll at SummerSlam, it seems that McIntyre is gearing up for a future title opportunity. Since this event is in Europe, WWE has a proclivity of booking McIntyre in big world title matches, as he is honored as the top European star in the WWE today. McIntyre also has some history with Cody Rhodes that he can capitalize on, considering that they were former tag team champions together back in 2011. However, he won't dethrone Rhodes so soon after Rhodes won the title from Cena at SummerSlam.
Prediction: Cody Rhodes
Naomi (c) vs. Stephanie Vaquer [World Title]
Stephanie Vaquer earned this title shot by winning the Evolution Battle Royal, and she would be a compelling champ. However, it would be too early for her to win the world title, as she just got called up from NXT and needs more time on the main roster to develop her character and connect with the fans. As mentioned earlier, the IC Title in the mid-card would be a more suitable launching pad for her rise to the top. Furthermore, Naomi will not lose her second title defense on PPV. She has been the MVP of the women's division this year, and her reign should last until Mania 42, at the very least.
Prediction: Naomi
Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena [Personal Rivalry]
When Brock Lesnar returned in the closing moments of SummerSlam, he attacked John Cena in what seems to be Cena's next obstacle in his farewell tour. Obviously, this is a callback to their feud in 2012, but there has to be a twist to this story that can add a new element to their dynamic. Many fans were upset that The Rock did not tie up loose ends to the story by interfering in the title matches between Cena and Rhodes, but maybe he was the one who sent Brock to attack Cena after Cena betrayed their pact from Elimination Chamber and sold his soul back to the fans as a babyface.
Either way, this has a Brock Lesnar victory written all over it, as this is his return match, and Cena will be going on a downward spiral as a babyface all the way to his last match in December. He no longer has the power The Rock granted him as a heel, and his alliance with the fans will cost him matches, just like it did when he lost the WWE Title to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. Eventually, The Rock will return to reveal his hidden schemes and be the "final boss" to retire John Cena for good by the time WWE reaches the "Ruthless Aggression" Saturday Night Main Event in Boston in December.
Prediction: Brock Lesnar
