Bayley is a first-ballot Hall of Famer, as known by all smart wrestling fans. She has showcased commendable work in the ring, displayed impeccable delivery on the microphone, and told a plethora of engaging stories throughout her career. Whether face or heel, she has connected with the audience in admirable ways. However, Bayley has been booked like an afterthought recently. Despite her exemplary character work, it is questionable as to why she was left off Mania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series in 2025. With her contract expiring in late 2026, it is certainly time for a change.
Bayley Was Left Off WrestleMania
At WrestleMania 41 in April, Bayley was supposed to battle alongside Lyra Valkyria against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the Tag Team Titles. Instead, WWE booked an angle in which Becky Lynch heinously attacked Bayley backstage and took her spot to win the tag titles with Valkyria at Mania. This was unnecessary, as Lynch could have easily been booked to return from her hiatus on the Raw after Mania. In retrospect, it was even a waste of time because that tag title reign only lasted 24 hours, as Lynch and Valkyria dropped the titles back to Judgment Day on the Raw after Mania.
Bayley Was Left Off SummerSlam
At SummerSlam in August, Bayley was supposed to battle Becky Lynch in either a singles match to get her revenge from that heinous attack at Mania or get spicy in a triple threat match with Valkyria included for the IC Title. Instead, WWE booked the latter for the Evolution PPV and left Bayley off the SummerSlam card whilst Lynch and Valkyria battled for the IC Title one on one even though Bayley was an essential component of the story. Furthermore, Lynch and Valkyria have battled so many times that it was becoming tiring, and Bayley would have been a breath of fresh air to that mix.
Bayley Was Left Off Survivor Series
At Survivor Series this past weekend, Bayley was supposed to be in the War Games Match with her tag partner, Lyra Valkyria, due to her history with Damage Control and recent feud with the Judgment Day. Charlotte and Alexa Bliss were completely miscast on Team AJ Lee, as their stories did not align with either their allies or their rivals. Those spots should have been for Bayley and Valkyria, as Bayley's recent character work that showcased a mix of her huggable babyface persona and role model heel persona has been compelling and should have paid off organically in War Games.
At one point in a post media scrum, Triple H called Bayley the "constant." This means that she is reliable and will always be there for the company when they need her most. However, that does not mean that WWE should take her for granted. She was not even featured in the WrestleMania 42 promo that showcased all of the top women in the WWE. Due to this continual lack of appreciation for one of the best to ever step foot in the ring, Bayley should genuinely consider going to AEW to reunite with Mercedes Mone, maintain her stock, and spark a revolution in professional wrestling.
