WWE Raw Predictions For Dec 2, 2024: Big E Will Keep New Day Together
By Mark Justice
WWE Raw is coming off an epic WWE Survivor Series 2024 PLE Event, where CM Punk and the OG Bloodline finally put The New Bloodline to sleep inside War Games, Team Rhea Ripley remained on top by defeating Team Liv Morgan inside War Games, Bron Breakker retained his IC Title in a show-stealing triple threat match against Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser, and Gunther successfully retained the World Title against Damian Priest due to a key distraction from Finn Balor as a callback to when Balor costed Damian Priest the World Title against Gunther at SummerSlam.
Now, WWE is continuing its road to WWE Saturday Night Main Event 2024, where they will likely have some major title matches and personal rivalries come to a close before the end of the year. This week on Raw, three matches have been officially scheduled: Dakota Kai vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Katana Chance in an IC Title Tournament Match, Peter Dunne vs. R-Truth in a grudge match, and Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez vs. Damage Control in a tag team match. In other news regarding WWE Raw, CM Punk is opening the show and The New Day 10-Year Anniversary is set to take place.
Dakota Kai vs. Shayna Baszler vs. Katana Chance [IC Title Tournament]
While Shayna Baszler and Katana Chance are busy in the tag division, Dakota Kai needs a resurgence in her momentum and credibility, and this IC Title tournament can do that for her. Kai has gone from being a major player in NXT to becoming a hand on the main roster. Quite frankly, that does not sit well with most of the WWE Universe. Granted, she has been injury prone and thereby unreliable to be a long term world champion in the main event scene. However, her impeccable talent and her recent invigorating promo package on Raw warrant future success for her in the mid card.
Prediction: Dakota Kai
Peter Dunne vs. R-Truth [Personal Rivalry]
It seems that Peter Dunne and R-Truth are directionless, so they have been demoted to mere comedy acts in backstage segments on Raw. It was quite head-scratching as to why WWE broke up Awesome Truth, as they were quite a marketable tag team. The Final Testament did not really need Miz to fend off Wyatt Sicks, and the tag division would have thrived more with Awesome Truth still in it. As for Dunne, it seems that WWE is just building up his momentum, so he will likely win this match. However, his victories have not lead him to a title shot, so it still deems him as directionless as Truth.
Prediction: Peter Dunne
Liv Morgan & Raquel Rodriguez vs. Damage Control [Tag Match]
Liv Morgan has been a weak champion lately, as she has taken three pinfall losses to Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair in the past few months on PPV and live television. Now, it seems she will eat another pinfall to the number one contender, Iyo Sky. Clearly, Sky needs some momentum before her title match with Morgan, which will presumably take place at Saturday Night Main Event in two weeks. Henceforth, it should be a no-brainer that Damage Control wins here so that Morgan can get her lick back at the PPV to retain her championship and move on to her next challenger in Bianca Belair.
Prediction: Damage Control
