WWE Royal Rumble 2025 Predictions: AJ Lee Will 100% Be There
By Mark Justice
WWE Royal Rumble 2025 on February 1, 2025, live on Peacock, at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana, and WWE has already confirmed three matches for this event: Men's Royal Rumble, Women's Royal Rumble, and Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens for the WWE Title in a Ladder Match. The Royal Rumble Matches will determine who will main event WrestleMania against the world champions. With that being said, it is now time for the highly anticipated WWE Royal Rumble 2025 Predictions, where AJ Lee will make a surprise return to the WWE after 10 long years.
Women's Royal Rumble [Battle Royal]
The top favorites to win the Women's Royal Rumble seem to be women who already won the Royal Rumble, such as Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Bianca Belair. However, in order to share the wealth, there are actually some dark horses, such as Iyo Sky, Liv Morgan, and Jade Cargill, who could shock the world with their first Royal Rumble victory. There could also be many surprise returns, such as Alexa Bliss, Carmella, and even AJ Lee, but they are unlikely to win the Rumble since they will still be getting their feet wet in some major feuds on their road to WrestleMania upon return.
While it is very likely that we could get a 2-time Rumble Winner this year, it would be wiser for WWE to crown a new Rumble Winner this year as a way to establish a new star in the main event scene. Since Iyo Sky has already been exposed to the main event scene as World Champ last year against Bayley, she does not really need to win the Rumble this year, especially after recently failing in her attempts to win the World Title and IC Title. Liv Morgan just lost the World Title to Rhea Ripley, so she can take a break from the main event scene. She also has a rematch clause that has not been invoked yet.
Jade Cargill, on the other hand, would be the perfect fit, as she can return from that mysterious car incident and challenge the woman who attacked her at WrestleMania for the World Title. She was a runner up in the Rumble last year and a victory this year could pay dividends in her credibility as a top dominant star in the women's division. The likely culprit for said attack is Charlotte Flair, who would be upset about Bianca Belair replacing her with Jade Cargill as her tag partner. To get to this match, Charlotte dethrone Tiffany Stratton before Mania and defend the belt against Cargill at Mania.
Prediction: Jade Cargill
Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens [WWE Title]
Kevin Owens is upset that Cody Rhodes hypocritically teamed up with Roman Reigns to battle The New Bloodline at Bad Blood since Reigns has done nothing but manipulate everyone around him and made their lives a living hell during his reign of terror for the past three years. Since Cody is a very close friend of KO due to their association with Young Bucks, Owens is justifiably upset and the fact that Randy Orton, KO's own tag partner, took Cody's side in this mess due to their Legacy history did not make things any better. This storyline is deeper than anything else on this match card.
Despite how justifiable KO is in his ventures as a heel here, Cody will retain the WWE Title against KO because Cody has to get redemption for what KO did to Randy. KO capitalized on Randy's vulnerable back and basically paralyzed him to the point that he is currently hospitalized. Randy has been a mentor to Cody and thereby holds a special place in Cody's heart. As diplomatic as Cody can be, he cannot let this one slide. Orton could even return from injury and vengefully screw KO to help Cody win here. This would protect KO in defeat as he kickstarts his heel run on the road to WrestleMania.
Prediction: Cody Rhodes
