WWE Saturday Night Main Event is this Saturday in San Antonio, Texas at Frost Bank Center, and WWE has already confirmed four matches for this event: The main event of the evening is set to be Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso for the World Title. The most memorable match will likely be Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus for the IC Title if Sheamus can finally achieve his Grand Slam accolade in his long tenured career. With that being said, it is now time for the highly anticipated Saturday Night Main Event 2025 Predictions, where Goldberg will replace Jey Uso in his World Title Match with Gunther.

Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso [World Title]

Gunther would have been better off battling Goldberg after the teased confrontation they had at Bad Blood this year. Even Logan Paul would have been a better option to get out of the way before WrestleMania since a title match with Gunther has been highly rumored and even teased on the Raw Netflix Debut Press Conference. The fact that Jey Uso has a World Title Match against Gunther after getting a lucky pinfall over Drew McIntyre on the Raw Netflix Debut is baffling. He has no chance in hell of winning this match, and Drew McIntyre will vengefully screw him out of this match anyways.

Prediction: Gunther

Rhea Ripley (c) vs. Nia Jax [World Title]

Nia Jax has a statutory rematch clause for Tiffany Stratton's World Title after Tiffany cashed in on Jax on the first SmackDown of 2025. Granted, statutory rematch clauses are no longer required in professional wrestling, but it is still questionable as to why WWE implements that clause in certain feuds, like Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. LA Knight for the U.S. Title, but inconsistently fails to do it for other feuds like this one. Furthermore, Jax was unnecessarily booked in a fatal four-way number one contender's match on SmackDown and lost even more momentum as a former world champion.

After losing that momentum, Jax got transferred to Raw and is handed a title shot against the other world champ, Rhea Ripley, after a heinous backstage attack. Despite the history they have from Elimination Chamber in Australia last year, there is no current storyline that warrants a title change here. Since Ripley just won the title back from Liv Morgan on the Raw Netflix Debut, this will be an unquestionable retention. This filler feud clearly shows that WWE had no immediate plans for Ripley's title reign and merely plopped a former champ with some credibility in front of her to pass the time.

Prediction: Rhea Ripley

Braun Strowman vs. Jacob Fatu

It is questionable why this match even made the card since it lacks a storyline, but WWE loves their spectacle matches and this match fits said criteria. Jacob Fatu and Braun Strowman are both monstrous and the crowd will inevitably go nuts when these two go at it. It seems that this match is built for Jacob Fatu to win with the objective of regaining some momentum for the Bloodline after losing to OG Bloodline at Survivor Series and losing to Roman Reigns in Tribal Combat at Raw Netflix Debut. Braun Strowman, who is playing the veteran, was put in this stop to put the younger star over.

Prediction: Jacob Fatu

Chelsea Green (c) vs. Michin [U.S. Title]

It was rewarding to see WWE book Chelsea Green as the inaugural U.S. Champ since she is an actual mid-carder who needed it and her character work has been commendable to date. Although Chelsea defeated Michin in the finals of this tournament, there was an asterisk to that victory due to the nefarious interference from Piper Niven. They had a rematch on SmackDown, but Chelsea pulled the tights to retain the title. WWE will likely book this title rematch at the last minute to put an end to this feud for good. This will be an easy retention, as there is reason for Chelsea to lose her title this early.

Prediction: Chelsea Green

Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus [IC Title]

From a completely candid standpoint, Bron Breakker's IC Title reign has been as boring as a slow molasses on a cold, January day. If WWE decides to do a title change for this event, this would be the title match where they should pull the trigger. Sheamus already lost his first IC Title match against Bron Breakker at Survivor Series after getting pinned in a triple threat with Ludwig Kaiser. Now that Sheamus is finally getting Bron Breakker one on one, he cannot choke again in his journey to a Grand Slam. He already choked twice against Gunther. The time is now for WWE to call 1-800-FELLA.

Prediction: Sheamus
