WWE SmackDown is on the road to Crown Jewel, where Cody Rhodes will defend his Crown Jewel Title against Seth Rollins and a new Crown Jewel Champion will be crowned between Stephanie Vaquer and Tiffany Stratton. Also, John Cena is scheduled to battle AJ Styles for his next challenge in his farewell tour and Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley are scheduled to finish their soap opera against Kabuki Warriors. This week on SmackDown, one match has been officially scheduled: Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton will reunite as Legacy to battle the Brons from The Vision in the main event.
Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton vs. The Vision [Tag Match]
Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton must win this match because Rhodes needs to keep his momentum going strong for his Crown Jewel Title match against Seth Rollins. If he lost to Seth Rollins' goons, it would not be a good look. It can be argued that the Vision needs to continue solidfying their faction, but it should not be done at the expense of the WWE Champ and face of the WWE. There is a chance that Orton turns heel and betrays Rhodes here, but WWE might save that swerve until after Survivor Series, where they will go to war together against The Vision before Orton targets Rhodes' title.
Prediction: Legacy
The aftermath of the world title match amongst Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, and Nia Jax has also been a hot topic for the blue brand. It will be interesting to see if the feud between Cargill and Jax continue after that bloodbath. Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu are randomly starting a new rivalry. And, as Sami Zayn continues his U.S. Open Challenges and Aleister Black continues his feud with Damian Priest, Melo Don't Miz disbanded after losing to the Street Profits last week, so there's hope that Carmelo Hayes can use this as a way to launch his singles career in the right direction.
