WWE Survivor Series 2024 Predictions: Goldberg Will REPLACE Damian Priest

WWE Survivor Series 2024 is two weeks away from Saturday in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada at Rogers Arena and WWE has already confirmed two epic matches on the main show, featuring the Bloodline Civil War War Games Match and a World Heavyweight Championship match between Gunther and Damian Priest. It is likely that WWE add the already teased Women's War Games Match as well as a WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens. The War Games Matches this year feel a tad contrived, but they will undoubtedly be chaotic matches to witness.

With that being said, it is now time for the highly anticipated Survivor Series 2024 Predictions, where Goldberg will REPLACE Damian Priest at WWE Survivor Series 2024.

Gunther (c) vs. Damian Priest [World Heavyweight Championship]

Gunther and Damian Priest are set for a SummerSlam rematch that has a predictable result of a Gunther retention as a booking methodology to bounce back from his major loss to Cody Rhodes in that champion vs. champion match at Crown Jewel. Damian Priest earned this match by winning a fatal four way on Raw against Seth Rollins, Dirty Dom, and Sheamus. However, at Bad Blood in October, Gunther told Goldberg that he lied about Goldberg being his favorite wrestler and that Goldberg is a one-trick pony. WWE wouldn't tease this if this match wasn't bound to happen.

Instead of getting a boring rematch between Gunther and Damian Priest on a big 4 PPV like Survivor Series, Judgment Day will execute a heinous backstage attack to Damian Priest, allowing Goldberg to make an epic return to the PPV he returned to back in 2016, replace Damian Priest in this match, and challenge Gunther for that World Title. Goldberg won't bury Gunther because that would be eminently pernicious for the future of professional wrestling. Instead, he will put Gunther over in what will be a historic victory over a Hall of Famer that would get him out of that rut from his loss to Cody,

Prediction: Gunther

Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens [WWE Championship]

Kevin Owens is upset that Cody Rhodes hypocriticaly teamed up with Roman Reigns to battle The Bloodline at Bad Blood since Roman Reigns has done nothing but manipulate everyone around him and made their lives a living hell during his reign of terror for the past three years. Since Cody is a very close friend of KO due to their association with Young Bucks, Owens is justifiably upset and the fact that Randy Orton, KO's own tag partner, took Cody's side in this mess due to their Legacy history did not make things any better. This storyline is deeper than anything else on this match card.

Despite how justifiable KO is in his ventures as a heel here, Cody will retain the WWE Title against KO in his home country of Canada because Cody has to get redemption for what KO did to Randy. KO capitalized on Randy's vulnerable back and basically paralyzed him to the point that he is currently hospitalized. Randy has been a mentor to Cody and thereby holds a special place in Cody's heart. As diplomatic as Cody can be, he cannot let this one slide. Orton could even return from injury and vengefully screw KO to help Cody win. This would protect KO in defeat as he kickstarts his heel run.
