SummerSlam is the second biggest event on the WWE calendar, dominating its summertime storytelling and attracting widespread marketing opportunities, as well as huge crowd support. On a special occasion such as this, superstars raise their game to new heights, as unlike some PPVs that are interchangeable and quickly replaced, SummerSlam is an institution, and being ingrained in its history as one of its most celebrated performers is a quick way to earn a competitor immortality. Those select few have the honor of being the summer’s most valuable players, who when August approaches kick themselves into high gear to mark their names in history.
