Here’s the rundown for Monday Night RAW from 10/26/09:

RAW opens with a video package recapping what went down at the Bragging Rights PPV in the 7 on 7 match up.

Chris Jericho and Big Show come out to the ring.  Jericho gloats about how Smackdown got the victory at Bragging Rights.  Big Show said that what he did at Bragging Rights wasn’t for either team, it was for him.  He struck a deal with Smackdown GM Teddy Long that if he screwed over RAW, he’d be the next #1 contender to face The Undertaker.  They are interrupted by the guest hosts of RAW, NASCAR drivers, Kyle Busch and Joey Logano.  They make a match between Big Show and Triple H, as well as a match between Jericho and Kofi Kingston (he almost called him Kofi Johnson, LOL!).

Kofi Kingston defeats Chris Jericho via pin fall after hitting Trouble in Paradise.  After the match, Kingston was attacked by Randy Orton and thrown off the entrance ramp.

Backstage: Josh Matthews catches up with Randy Orton.  Orton blames Kingston for him losing the WWE Title… He chased down Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase with a chair during the title match.  Rhodes and Dibiase say to Orton that they got them a token of their appreciation, and reveal a NASCAR with a Randy Orton decal on the hood.

Backstage:  Eve Torres is backstage with the Guest Hosts, when Jack Swagger interrupts to ask to be John Cena’s next opponent.  He’s then interrupted by The Miz who says that because he’s the only person from RAW that won at Bragging Rights, he should be Cena’s next opponent.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Sheamus has been moved to RAW.

Melina and Santino Marella defeat Chavo Guerrero and Jillian Hall in a mixed tag match.  Hornswoggle came out during the match and distracted Chavo.  After the match, a man in a suit comes into the ring and hands Hornswoggle a green envelope with a Cease and Desist Order for him to stop wearing DX items.

Legacy comes out to the ring to say that at Survivor Series, one of them is going to bring back the WWE Championship back home.  They then call out John Cena.  Cena comes out to say enough… That Rhodes and Dibiase are practically Orton and how many times have we seen that already?!?  If they want a shot at the title, they’ve got to work for it!  He then tells Legacy that they’ve got a match next with MVP and Mark Henry.

MVP and Mark Henry defeat Legacy via pin fall after a MVP/Mark Henry double team.

After the match up, Orton comes out to the ring pissed off and addresses the crowd.  He still thinks he should have his rematch with John Cena even though that match was supposed to be the last time he’d face Cena.  Kofi appears on the Titantron and tells Orton to stop whining!  He then progresses to key, smash, and throw paint on the NASCAR that Rhodes and Dibiase presented him.

Eve Torres comes out to announce the match up between Evan Bourne and The Miz.

Evan Bourne defeats The Miz via count out after Jack Swagger came out and distracted The Miz.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The Osbournes are hosting RAW next week!

Sheamus defeats Jamie Noble via pin fall after hitting a bicycle kick to Noble’s head.

Just as the match between Big Show and Triple H starts, Trips announces that he talked to the guest hosts and the match is now a Lumberjack Match.  Shawn Michaels chimes in saying the match is also no disqualification and that there’s a special guest referee, John Cena.

Triple H defeats Big Show via pin fall after the entire RAW roster got involved in the lumberjack match up.

After the match, the NASCAR guest hosts come out to announce who is going to be the opponent for John Cena’s title at Survivor Series.  It’s going to be a triple threat between John Cena, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels.

QUICK THOUGHTS:

The promo between Orton/Kingston was the highlight of the night for me.  It’s nice to finally see a serious and slightly psychotic side of the Kof Kingston character who’s been rather cartoony over his tenure in WWE.

Jillian Hall and Melina botched another maneuver.  Melina went for one of her finishers and Jillian looked like she lost her balance.  When is WWE going to realize that these two are like oil and water in the ring?  In like two or three matches, they’ve already had two botched finishing moves.

WARNING: Looking directly at Sheamus may cause blindness!

The main event was meant to be a joke!  Practically every member of RAW got a chance to try a move on Big Show, and rightfully so after what went down at the PPV.  Frankly I wish I could’ve jumped through my TV into the ring so I could kick him in the shins (then run away) for causing me to get my prediction wrong for that match up.
