TNA Turning Point – Preview & Predictions

Tonight is the night for TNA Turning Point.  Time to set some rivalries straight and maybe crown a new champion or two.  Here’s the rundown on the show and my predictions for what should and will happen:

"SHOULD: Homicide WILL: HomicideI think that this match will be the telltale sign if we’re going to eventually find out the identity of the Suicide character.  Homicide wins this match up, then in the coming weeks challenges Suicide in a belt versus mask situation.  Sorry to Red, but I don’t believe that TNA thinks highly enough to put you in a “major” story line."

"SHOULD: Sarita, Wilde, ODB WILL: The Beautiful PeopleThe rules of this match are very vague, so I’m guessing that it will be one fall to a finish with that pin winning every belt for their squad…  My guess, and this is going to be really sad if they do this, Lacey Von Erich gets the pin fall for The Beautiful People and becomes a joke of a champion.  Velvet Sky, and Madison Rayne get the tag belts, which may cause a slight rift in their clique.  In the coming weeks, watch for Angelina Love to make a comeback and challenge Von Erich for the belt."

"SHOULD: Lashley WILL: LashleyThis match up is for the honor of a man’s wife.  LASHLEY BETTER WIN!  If they try to pull some bull shit where Lashley’s wife is “really in love” with Steiner and leaves Lashley, I’ll be pissed beyond reason!  There’s a thing in wrestling called kayfabe and I know it’s a dying idea, but you cannot pull something like that off.  I would NEVER allow something like this to happen."

"SHOULD: Motor City Machine Guns WILL: Beer Money Inc.The Guns are the most exciting tag team in TNA, period!  I say that TNA should reward them for all they’ve done for their company, but I doubt TNA will since they’ve added Beer Money to the match up the week of the PPV.  I’ll be totally caught off guard if the Brits dodge another bullet and walk away champions."

"SHOULD: Awesome Kong WILL: TaraThis is the match up I’ve been waiting for.  TNA’s most dominant Knockout versus the WWE’s most dominant Diva.  In the grand scheme of things, I think most people will feel that Kong will win because she was with TNA first, I do not believe that.  Kong winning would be better for the Knockout division in my opinion, but I think that because Tara is the better wrestler, TNA would rather push her forward into the title picture in the coming weeks."

"SHOULD: Morgan, Hernandez, and Dinero  WILL: Morgan, Hernandez, DineroIn this match up, you CANNOT have the older generation of wrestlers win, unless they use some deceitful tactics to gain the win while the referee’s back is turned.  Dixie Carter said that she wanted to push the young guys to make new stars.  Well, this is the time!"

"SHOULD: Desmond Wolfe WILL: Desmond Wolfe:TNA should NOT kill all of Wolfe’s momentous heat that he has right now!  LET HIM DESTROY ANGLE AGAIN!  Give Angle a month or two off to “nurse his injuries” allowing Wolfe to wreak havoc on the upper eschalon of TNA Superstars."

"SHOULD: AJ Styles WILL: Samoa JoeAJ Styles should retain as TNA Champion as a way to continue being the “face of the franchise,” especially with Hulk Hogan soon to be making appearances.  However, I think that Joe will be the one who gets his hand raised.  We will also find out who the identity of AJ’s attacker was.  My thought is that it was a previous TNA Superstar who has a tattoo with his name on his back… can you figure out who I’m thinking?"
