It’s The Final Countdown!

Tonight is the last big pro wrestling PPV of the year, and it’s an offering from TNA called Final Resolution!  Tonight, there will be three titles up for grabs, three grudge matches, and one of TNA’s original creations known as Feast or Fired.  Here’s a rundown of the card and who I think SHOULD and WILL win tonight:

TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
Daniels vs. “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles (Champion)
SHOULD: Styles WILL: Daniels

  • I think that today is the day that we’re going to find out who it was that attacked AJ Styles all those times over the course of the past few months.  I think that Daniels will win this match up with some outside interference to win the TNA World Title.  I don’t know if that’s going to be a good thing going into the January 4th battle, but I strongly believe it will happen.

THREE DEGREES OF PAIN – BEST OF 3 FALLS (PIN, SUBMISSION, ESCAPE THE CAGE)
Desmond Wolfe vs. Kurt Angle
SHOULD: Wolfe WILL: Wolfe

  • I’ve been fond of Desmond Wolfe since second one in TNA because I knew who he was previously.  Wolfe is a future world champion and tonight I think that we better keep our eyes open; If you thought last month’s PPV match between these two was great, I just have a feeling like this one is going to be even better!  This is the best rivalry in pro wrestling right now and hopefully it doesn’t disappoint!  I think Wolfe takes this one in the 3rd fall by escaping the cage.

LAST MAN STANDING MATCH
Bobby Lashley vs. Scott Steiner
SHOULD: Lashley WILL: Lashley

  • This has been one of the most bizarre angles that TNA has done.  I knew Scott Steiner was a little weird, but I didn’t think he was this weird.  He’s been practically stalking Krystal Lashley and for the sake of TNA, I hope that they end this rivalry right here tonight with Lashley busting Steiner wide open!  I think they will considering Lashley’s the #1 contender for the TNA Title and faces tonight’s winner.

CHALLENGE MATCH
Raven & Dr. Stevie vs. Mick Foley & Abyss
SHOULD: Foley & Abyss WILL: Foley & Abyss

  • My first thought is sort of sad. I always pick Abyss to win and he loses.  Then when I pick him to lose he finally wins!  This time around, he’s been getting hammered by Raven & Dr. Stevie.  Hell, two weeks ago they set him on fire!  This time around, he’s got the “Hardcore Legend” is his corner.  I think that this match is going to be nasty and for the sake of momentum going into the new year, I think that TNA will give Foley & Abyss the victory!

TNA TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
Motor City Machine Guns vs. British Invasion (Champion)
SHOULD: Guns WILL: Guns

  • I think that this will be the day when the Motor City Machine Guns get their due!  Chris Sabin & Alex Shelly are two of the most exciting athletes that TNA has on their roster and they deserve the recognition of being tag team champions.  The Brits have had some communication problems as of late with their big man, Big Rob, and I just have the feeling that this situation is going to boil over at the PPV costing them the belts.  MMG goes to the top of the tag team mountain.

KNOCKOUTS TITLE MATCH
Tara vs. ODB (Champion)
SHOULD: Tara WILL: ODB

  • Every time TNA puts it out there that Tara’s going to face someone in a big time match up I can’t help but think that they’re going to put their Knockout over her.  This is one of those times.  Tara should win the title tonight, she’s one of the best women’s wrestlers of all time, and I think TNA should show her that respect by putting the title on her.  When the dust settles, I just have this feeling that ODB is going to be victorious.

FEAST OR FIRED MATCH
Samoa Joe, Robert Roode, James Storm, Kevin Nash, Eric Young, Sheik Abdul Bashir, Kiyoshi, Homicide, Jay Lethal, Consequences Creed & Cody Deaner

  • This match prediction is a little different because this match is a little different.  One TNA Superstar will be fired from the company.  Three superstars will get a case that has either a World Title shot, an X-Division Title shot, or a Tag Team title shot.  The deck is stacked in this one against Beer Money because of all the World Elite members in the match, considering the British Invasion have the tag belts.  Here’s how I think things go down:
  1. FIRED: Cody Deaner – They don’t use him much anymore since the angle with ODB ended
  2. TAG: James Storm – Earns Beer Money the title shot they want.
  3. X-DIV: Robert Roode – Scary moment when both Beer Money members get two cases, but neither will get fired
  4. WORLD: Eric Young – I don’t know why, but my brain is screaming at me to pick EY.

8 MAN ELIMINATION
Team 3D, Rhino & Jesse Neal vs. “Pope” D’Angelo Dinero, Matt Morgan, Hernandez & Suicide
SHOULD: Faces WILL: Faces

  • This match will start with a disadvantage for the faces, Hernandez will start 1-on-4 for five minutes.  If he’s pinned in that time span, the match is over!  I think that he’ll eliminate at least one person, possibly Jesse Neal.  In the grand scheme of things, the heels have gotten away with a lot of things over the past few weeks, and that’s why I’m thinking that the faces will go over!

TNA Final Resolution starts tonight on PPV 8pm in the East/5pm in the West.  Results tomorrow morning.  Enjoy the day!
