They teased us for next week’s main event in the Pick 6 Contender Series – Davey Richards vs. Roderick Strong.
QUICK THOUGHTS:
Usually, when I think of the best of shows, it’s mainly what the company thought was their best moments of that particular year, and they usually have to do mainly with story lines. With ROH, I was pleasantly surprised when they led with my personal favorite, the tag team division! They followed the travels of the title from Steen/Generico to the American Wolves to the Briscoes. They even gave some time to the TNA bound, Young Bucks!
They also followed the path the ROH World Title throughout the year. It just amazes me that ROH had so much faith in the veteran Jerry Lynn to be “the man” of their company! It’s a testament to what Lynn has done in the business! It still amazes me how athletically gifted he is after how bad his body has been battered.
I wish that ROH would’ve talked more about Ric Flair’s short time in ROH, and said something about how he practically screwed them out of money and air time, being the case he’s no longer with them!
Can’t wait to next week to see Davey Richards and Roderick Strong. I know that it will be their 1st main event of 2010, but that has the potential to be a MOTY candidate on January 4th!
