Kurt Angle walks to the ring and gives AJ Styles credit for beating him last week and proving that he’s not a fluke champion.  Then Kurt says, “but when two great athletes get in the ring, you win some, you lose some…”

  • Daniels comes out to the ring to welcome Morley. “I want to pitch a screen play to you… 2 guys so through a struggle with some twists and turns.  Then at the end, the sleezebag ends up in the gutter where he belongs!”  Daniels then attacks Morley!  “Take your brand of crap and get out of my company!  I don’t take a backseat to anyone…”

Video Package: Angle vs. Styles this Sunday at Genesis

QUICK THOUGHTS:

The opening contest was awesome!  The Guns and the new arrival, Generation Me, tore the house down.  Generation Me are better known on the indy circuit as the Young Bucks and one thing I’ve said to my friends, they remind me of the Hardy Boyz when they broke into the business.  I think this is a good pick up for TNA.

Glad to see Angelina Love back in TNA and also I’m glad to see that they’re not going to let a good angle go to waste.  If they ever decided to bring her back, they had a built in story line with her and the Beautiful People and it’s nice to see that they’re going to run with the bitter ex-member taking it to her former friends.

This Lashley angle baffles me.  He’s NOT a heel.  He doesn’t look like it, and he can’t even talk like it so much that they have to have his wife on the mic for him.  Now, granted, back in the 1980s and early 90s there were guys who couldn’t talk that had managers, but this is different.  Lashley has always been a baby face and the persona we’ve come to know wouldn’t just go from being good one day to being heel the next.  He’s NEVER appeared jaded on TV about the wrestling business so it’s very unbelievable, at least to me.

Well, I guess since you can’t call the group the NWO, TNA creative had to name them something, but actually referring to them as “The Band” just sounds silly!  Almost as silly as “Front Line.”

I’m anxious to see what’s going to happen between Jarrett and Hogan.  Will they come to blows eventually?  We’ll see!

Glad that Team 3D made the comments they did about the Nasty Boys.  Hopefully that was a hybrid shoot/work speech mid ring.  The Nasty Boys have done NOTHING to earn that spot but latch on to Hogan nuts!

Main event wasn’t that great… I mean, c’mon AJ won with the Pele!  Can’t wait to see Styles vs. Angle on Sunday at Genesis.  Preview and predictions coming  soon!
