Last night on Ring of Honor Wrestling on HDNet, the night was capped off by an awesome, anything goes street fight between two teams of rivals that really wanted to beat the holy hell out of each other.  In ROH, that could be a lot of different teams, so who was it you ask..?  Well read on and find out:

Backstage: In an alley somewhere behind the arena, Steve Corino & Kevin Steen talk about their street fight tonight with El Generico & Colt Cabana. Corino talks about how he grew up there in the streets of Philadelphia, and that’s where he became a man!  Steen, who’s playing around with some barbed wire, talks about what he’s going to do to destroy El Generico.  Corino adds that this is just step one in their ultimate plan.

Backstage: Kyle Durden is with Roderick Strong and his new mentor, Truth Martini.  Truth comments about Strong’s transformation saying that he’s “the most self-centered individual he’s ever met!”  Strong then adds his two cents about his one on one match with Daniels next week.

Video Package: Two weeks ago, the Kings of Wrestling were facing Dark City Fight Club, and the match was interrupted when the Briscoe Bros. ran in.  A brawl ensued, and security had to intervene.

Video Package: Earlier today, Kyle Durden caught up with the Kings of Wrestling.  Chris Hero comments that The Briscoes are immagure, sore losers, and not to be trusted.  He also states that ROH is a hazardous workplace.  Claudio Castagnoli tells the crowd to be prepared to see more of them, and less of The Briscoes.

QUICK THOUGHTS:

All in all, the show was pretty average till the main event.  Wasn’t totally fond of the first three matches.  Tag match was alright.  Women’s match was a squash.  The Stevens/Brown match was just a reason to introduce DCFC into the Brown/Embassy feud.

The main event was where things took off.  You know that the fans are really into the match and that you’re taking way to many high risks when the fans chant, “PLEASE DON’T DIE!”  Cabana/Generico/Steen/Corino all put it out there as they fought throughout the entire arena.  I miss matches like this.  Once in awhile, they’re poetic to a story, but too much, too often, and it’s over kill.
