Former WWE backstage worker and confirmed insider, reddit user MetsFan4Ever, has published that WWE is considering putting Dolph Ziggler in two different matches at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.
"I was talking to a buddy of mine at WWE and he passed along that Dolph Ziggler might be working double duty at Survivor Series. The possible plan is for Dolph to work possibly Cesaro and Kidd. His great match on SmackDown with Cesaro and Kidd recently has lead to this discussion.A lot can change between Monday and Tuesday. But as of now, the plan is for Dolph to work 2 matches."
If WWE does decide to allow Ziggler into two matches, what does this mean?
Firstly, it would be another addition to the slow, stable push that Ziggler has been receiving over the past few months. Fans have been hopeful since he won the Intercontinental Championship that it would result in him being a main eventer once again; and this is more possible than ever if he successfully works a title match then the main event of a Survivor Series five-on-five tag team match. Wrestlers are rarely booked for two matches in the one show, so it is a good sign in how WWE feels about Ziggler if they are considering it for him.
If WWE don’t change their mind, on Sunday Ziggler will first defend his title against Cesaro and Tyson Kidd. This would have the potential of being match of the night, after their brilliant triple threat on Smackdown proved that all three work very well together in the ring. Ziggler and Cesaro are both fan favorites for their technical ability, and the addition of Kidd to their feud is very interesting. Kidd was nothing more of a glorified jobber before he suffered a long-term injury at the start of 2013. He returned as a part of the NXT roster and has recently been appearing back on the main roster too. It seems WWE is finally seeing his excellent abilities and willing to give him a chance after proving himself against the wrestlers on NXT.

Ziggler is also confirmed for the main event at the pay-per-view: Team Cena against Team Authority in a standard ten man tag match. He is easily the most over member of Team Cena and will bring some much needed pops for the face team. In terms of career development, it would be most beneficial for Ziggler if he were to be the last man standing of his team, whether they win or lose. If Team Cena are to triumph, having Ziggler as the sole survivor would be both shocking and satisfying for fans. However, it is much more likely that a Cena victory would end with Cena (perhaps alongside Randy Orton if he is to join the team) celebrating in the ring.
Whether he is kept in one match or put into two, an excellent performance from Dolph Ziggler at Survivor Series could be the start of great things for him.
