#8: The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg & Billy Gunn) – 14 points

Oh, you didn’t know?

The Road Dogg Jesse James and the Bad Ass Billy Gunn decided to team up back in 1997 when James convinced Gunn to turn on the Honky Tonk Man. The Attitude Era was never going to be the same. The struggling lower-card stars found instant chemistry with one another as heels, terrorizing the tag team division and everyone in it. They had some memorable moments, including pushing Chainsaw Charlie and Mick Foley off a stage in a dumpster. It was their run with DX that pushed (no pun intended) them over the top.
As the main tag team in D Generation X, the New Age Outlaws were the center pieces of a strong tag team division. They were some of the biggest merchandise movers in WWF history, and still to this day receive some of the biggest pops for legends during events like old school RAW.

The team reunited in TNA as the James Gang and Voodoo Kin Mafia, but it was never the same as in WWF/WWE. The Outlaws proved they still had it, wrestling the Shield at Wrestlemania 30 along side Kane in a losing effort. The five time WWF/WWE Tag Team Champions are one of the most entertaining teams in history. To quote Billy Gunn, “If you’re not down with that, we’ve got two words for ya.”
