A look at the results from Wednesday night’s episode of Lucha Underground.
Wednesday’s episode of Lucha Underground featured two prominent matches, both of which were pre-advertised for the show.
The first match was Cage vs. Johnny Mundo. They faced off in only the second Cage match to take place in Lucha Underground. These two had been feuding for months with the program coming to a culmination. Would Taya play a role in this to help Mundo win? Or did Cage escape victorious?

The other big match was an elimination contest for the Lucha Underground Trios Championships. Would Ivelisse and Son of Havoc, without the presence of Angelico, be able to retain?
With this in mind, here is a look at the results from the show on Wednesday.
- Cage defeated Johnny Mundo in a Cage match to win one of the ancient Aztec Medallions toward the Gift of the Gods Championship.
- Rey Mysterio, Prince Puma and Dragon Azteca Jr. become the new Lucha Underground Trios Champions.

Both matches proved to be wildly entertaining on Wednesday. Cage walked out with a win after fending off both Mundo and Taya. Mysterio, Puma and Azteca Jr. also fended off three other teams to become the new Trios Champions. This ended a long reign for Angelico, Ivelisse and Havoc in their second go-around with the belts.
