How is the WrestleMania 33 match card shaping up to look two months prior to the show?

With only WWE Elimination Chamber and Fastlane left before WrestleMania 33, the match card for the Show of Shows has been a topic of discussion. The only thing we’ve seen on WWE TV for it is Brock Lesnar challenging Goldberg to a match, which will likely be accepted on Monday’s episode of Raw.

As for the rest of the card, there has been an idea of what could happen given the paths of some WWE Superstars. However, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has the latest version of what the WrestleMania 33 card may look like:

  • WWE Universal Championship Match
    Goldberg (c) vs. Brock Lesnar
  • WWE Championship Match
Bray Wyatt (c) vs. Randy Orton
  • Raw Women’s Championship Match
Charlotte (c) vs. Bayley vs. Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax
  • Roman Reigns vs. The Undertaker
  • Kevin Owens vs. Chris Jericho
  • Seth Rollins vs. Triple H
  • AJ Styles vs. Shane McMahon
  • John Cena and Nikki Bella vs. The Miz and Maryse
  • Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal
  • Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

What sticks out from this card is only three of the nine championships being defended. Jericho holds the United States title, but could that be an indication his potential feud with Owens isn’t for a belt? Others like the SmackDown Women’s, Intercontinental, both tag team, and Cruiserweight Championships are all absent, and not all of them are likely making the card. There’s still a two-hour pre-show, so there’s potential for maybe two of them to still be defended.

Rollins vs. Triple H being rumored could mean the former is going to be available for WrestleMania 33. There’s also the PW Insider report of the Game potentially being set up to face Shane McMahon or even Samoa Joe, things are still up in the air in that regard.
