Vince McMahon Walks The Rock Off Stage Before WWE Raw (Video)
Before WWE Raw went on the air, the Rock spoke to the fans, but got cut off by Vince McMahon.
Vince McMahon is notoriously hands on with WWE programming. We’ll probably never know how much, but there’s a chance he has all the promos scripted, teaches the Superstars intricate things to do, and flips out over Braun Strowman saying “title shot”.
Before Monday’s episode of Raw went on the air, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson entered the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA to speak to the fans. He is in town to film the movie “Fighting With My Family”, which is based on WWE Superstar Paige. It has been all over his Instagram account. They are going to record the scene when Paige defeated AJ Lee for the WWE Divas Championship the night after WrestleMania 30.
The Rock spoke to the fans just minutes before the show started, so as he was cutting it close, McMahon entered the arena to walk him off the stage and “fired” him. This led to the crowd booing for a funny moment.
This micromanaging may not be the worst thing, as Vince and Co. have to set up and get things ready to go before 8:00 p.m. ET hits. If the show had started late, then there probably would have been an issue. But since this is an “angle” before the show, maybe it has nothing to do with this.

With The Rock appearing before Raw, he probably won’t show up again for the viewers at home. It takes away the potential crowd reaction he’d receive by entering a second time, and there’s just nothing for the People’s Champ to do that will be meaningful toward WWE TV.

If anything, we may have to wait for Johnson to appear at WrestleMania 33. Vince McMahon will have something ready for him, right?
