WWE’s Poor Booking of Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows Must End

Since their WWE debut Gallows and Anderson should have been booked as huge monsters, but even now as Raw Tag Team Champions they continue to suffer from horrendous booking decisions.

Even if you weren’t aware of the work Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson did before their current run in the WWE, you can see how good and how hard working these guys are. They created a name for themselves and were a dominant team, and part of The Bullet Club with the likes of AJ Styles and Finn Balor. However, since signing with the WWE their booking has been lackluster at best. What has gone wrong?

They lost matches and didn’t dominate in matches they should have, there is no logic in the booking they have received. That trend has continued, and even though these two finally got their chance to capture the Raw Tag Team Titles, the ball was dropped. Gallows and Anderson took on former Champions Sheamus and Cesaro on the Royal Rumble Kick-Off Show and that is where the title change took place. The titles should never be defended on the Kick-Off Show, it diminishes their importance and a lot of people wouldn’t have even known a title change took place until Raw the next night.

What has happened since then? Almost next to nothing, with two weeks to go until Fastlane they are apparently defending their titles against Big Cass and Enzo. What build up has there been for this match? Absolutely zilch, as the last two weeks they have been meat for Roman Reigns in a handicap matches. It achieved nothing for them, and on this week’s Raw especially they looked extremely weak against the one man. It didn’t do anything to further Roman Reigns and it only hurt Gallows and Anderson to see these two could not exactly over come just one person, and they had the upper hand.

Leading into Fastlane these two need to look dominate next week on Raw, they can easily demolish Enzo but if they can get the upper hand on Big Cass they will look strong. They should not lose the titles at Fastlane and in fact they do need to have the upper hand for most of that match. I don’t like the idea of Big Cass looking weak but he won’t lose anything here if he does. Big Cass is someone who needs to break out as a singles star, and perhaps the seeds can be sown at Fastlane. Gallows and Anderson need to be booked as the monsters we all know they are, and they should be completely in control of Raw’s tag team division.

It is a testament to their hard work that they have done everything that has been asked of them, and things were looking up when they became the champions. But the fact that they still aren’t being used correctly just does not make any sense. What do they have to prove? They have proven themselves and then some, they need this chance to be on top of their division and they need to stay there. This poor booking needs to stop, and Raw really needs them to be THE team to beat now.
