Beth Phoenix will be the latest member of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017.

Beth Phoenix only left WWE in 2012 after a lengthy stay with the company. However, she became one of the top female stars of the late 2000’s and early 2010’s, leading to her placement in the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame class.

On Monday, USA Today and WWE.com announced that Phoenix will be inducted in this year’s ceremony on Friday, March 31 at the Amway Center in Orlando, FL. She spoke with USA Today and said the following on being given this honor:

"“When you are in WWE, you dream of that moment (in the future) when you get to reflect on your career and the things that you did and you get that wonderful individual honor,” Phoenix told For the Win in an exclusive interview. “It seemed so far off in the distance for me (when I was wrestling). I didn’t know when — or if — I’d ever experience that feeling. I certainly didn’t think I’d have that opportunity this early in my life. It’s amazing and very, very humbling.”"

Phoenix also said she received the call from WWE about being inducted into the hall of fame in January. She revealed that Vince McMahon and Triple H made the decision to put her into this year’s class.

Phoenix is a four-time champion in WWE, holding the Women’s Championship three times and the Divas Championship once. She also won the Divas of the Year Award at the 2008 Slammy’s.

Now we’ll see who inducts Beth Phoenix in the WWE Hall of Fame. She is married to fellow hall of famer, Edge, so could he induct his wife? How about someone like Trish Stratus or someone like Santino Marella, both of which worked with her on TV?
