A look at how to watch NJPW’s 2017 New Japan Cup Finals online. Which wrestlers are competing in the match?

New Japan Pro Wrestling’s 2017 New Japan Cup has reached its final day. It began on Mar. 11 with 16 wrestlers competing in Round 1. The field then got cut in half to eight for Round 2, then four for the Semifinals, and now the Finals match with just two wrestlers left.

Katsuyori Shibata is one-half of the NJ Cup Finals match. He defeated Minoru Suzuki, Juice Robinson and Tomohiro Ishii to reach this point. It comes after him losing the RevPro British Heavyweight Championship to Zack Sabre Jr. just two weeks ago at the 45th Anniversary Show.

The other competitor is Bad Luck Fale. He took down Michael Elgin, Toru Yano and EVIL to reach the finals, marking one of his best run with NJPW in 2017. This match could lead to his first title run since February 2016.

The winner of Shibata vs. Fale will receive a title shot for any of the following at Sakura Genesis on Sunday, Apr. 9: the NEVER Openweight, IWGP Intercontinental or IWGP Heavyweight Championship. Only twice has someone chosen a belt that’s not the heavyweight title.

Other matches will likely take place at the New Japan Cup Finals too. Although, those are not yet known. Talents like Kazuchika Okada, Kenny Omega, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Tetsuya Naito and others may all be in action.
