To close out Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, the Undertaker appeared and took a spear from Roman Reigns.
The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns is already confirmed for WrestleMania 33. This came after their encounter on the Raw after WWE Fastlane, which saw these two collide with Taker’s chokeslam heard around the world. The match then got set up seven days later.
To close out Monday’s episode of Raw, Reigns faced Braun Strowman, who has also been somewhat involved in this feud. He’s been on the outside looking in, having gone head-to-head with the Big Dog since the Universal Championship match at Royal Rumble.
Well, as the bout was nearing its end, Reigns stood in the ring and prepared to spear Strowman. However, the famous gong went off and the venue went dark. When the lights turned on, the Undertaker appeared in the middle of the ring. He stood there for a second, until the Mountain Among Men tried attacking, but took a chokeslam. Reigns then speared his WrestleMania opponent to close the show.
Undertaker’s appearance comes hours after PW Insider reported him being backstage. They wouldn’t bring him in for no reason, so they made use of him to continue the WrestleMania 33 build with Reigns.
Reigns and the Dead Man have feuded since the 2017 Royal Rumble match, which saw the former eliminate the latter. They had an intense staredown as the 51-year-old walked away from the ring, and wouldn’t meet until one month later. It came during the previously-noted segment from Mar. 6.
