Listen to WWE NXT’s New Theme Song
The new theme song for WWE NXT has been released and will debut on Wednesday night’s episode.
WWE NXT is going through somewhat of a transition. They lost Shinsuke Nakamura, Tye Dillinger, the Revival and Elias Samson to the main roster, leaving holes in the main event and undercard scenes. That means new faces will be required to step up and fill those roles, leaving to some uncertainty about what’s in store for developmental’s future.
This new era for NXT will begin on Wednesday night, as the first of multiple episodes taped from Full Sail University on Apr. 5 is scheduled to air. It will see Drew McIntyre return to WWE, making his NXT debut. Bobby Roode awaits a new challenger for the NXT Championship, as well.
However, as part of the show renovations, there will be a new theme song used in the opener. This was released on Wednesday afternoon by CFO$, titled “Rage,” and will debut tonight. It can be heard below.
This song sounds like the edgier ones used for NXT TakeOver events, so it fits the brand’s profile. It’s not like the previous version didn’t, but this has a more “NXT” feel.
Things are changing in NXT, which has been the case since the 2016 WWE Draft. At times, the brand has struggled to find its footing during the rebuilding process, but TakeOver events have pumped energy into it each time. Hopefully, for NXT’s sake, they can get this same buzz back into their weekly show, which has faded over the past nine months.
