Even with Paige rehabbing from an injury, don’t expect the WWE to place her on TV anytime soon.
WWE star Paige has made headlines throughout the past year, from her neck surgery to being suspended multiple times for Wellness Policy violations, her public relationship with Alberto Del Rio, and the explicit photos and videos of her that leaked online. It’s made for a whirlwind of headlines for WWE.
Well, whenever Paige is ready to go, don’t expect to see her on WWE programming. According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company doesn’t plan on using the British star when she returns from injury, due to the events of the past year. The only way her job may be saved is with the movie WWE is making about her life, Fighting With My Family.
It’s a potentially disappointing end to Paige’s career, which had gotten off to a terrific start. She became the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion, and translated that success into being the possible woman to lead this division into the future on the main roster. That seemed to be the case on the night after WrestleMania 30, which saw the Norwich, UK native win the Divas Championship in her debut.
Paige won the Divas Championship one more time, and even became part of the 2015 “Divas Revolution” storyline. That was until the neck injury popped up, which has sidelined her since June 2016. Then her relationship with Del Rio made its way into the open, followed by the Wellness Policy violation, and everything else that happened afterward.

We’ll see what happens with Paige when she’s officially cleared. This should let us known how WWE really feels about using her, if they want to at all. It’s a situation worth monitoring throughout the spring.
