We saw a big swing of events during ROH War of the Worlds, as Marty Scurll joined Bullet Club, while Adam Cole is seemingly out.

Friday night would be a marquee show for Ring of Honor. They had stars rise to the occasion at War of the Worlds, including a special showing from Adam Cole. However, his night would end with chaos, and it was due to someone replacing him.

Marty Scurll is one of ROH rising stars. He’s been the ROH TV Championship for the past few months, and has become a prominent player in the midcard scene for the company. This is after making a name for himself on the British wrestling scene.

Well, Scurll took a big step forward on Friday night.

In the semi-main event of ROH War of the Worlds, Adam Cole lost a match to Hiroshi Tanahashi. The crowd started cheering for Cole, with information out there about him no longer being under contract with ROH. So, they chanted, “Thank you, Cole.” This led to the Young Bucks meeting Cole in the ring, embracing.

However, Kenny Omega appeared on the screen and expressed disappointment in Matt and Nick Jackson celebrating with Cole. He then referenced a certain “Villain,” leading to the lights going back out. Scurll appeared in the ring, showed his new Bullet Club gear, and assisted the Bucks in taking out Cole.

Cole is almost certainly out of Bullet Club. However, is he officially done with ROH? That’s unknown, but this will, at least, point in the direction of new ventures being in line for the 27-year-old.

If this is the end, it’s been a historic ROH career for Cole. He held its World championship three times, becoming the first wrestler in company history to pull this off. Factor in the Wrestle Kingdom win, being part of one of wrestling’s most popular stables, along with being on top of a top wrestling company, and it’s been a terrific ride for Cole.
