WWE Extreme Rules 2017 Match Card: Who Will The Hardys Face?
The first match for WWE Extreme Rules has been announced. Who will be part of this?
WWE Extreme Rules 2017 is the next Raw-exclusive pay-per-view, which will take place on Sunday, Jun. 4. There’s three more episodes of Raw to go before this show, and with no matches having been announced, plenty of build remains for it.
Well, we have the first match of Extreme Rules set.
At Payback, the Hardys had their second, successful title defense, retaining the Raw Tag Team Championship against Cesaro and Sheamus. However, after the match ended, the foreign duo attacked Matt and Jeff from behind, turning heel and seemingly continuing their feud. This would be confirmed with a victory in the Tag Team Turmoil Match to determine who will face the Hardys next.
Hours before Monday’s Raw, WWE posted a video of the Hardys finding out Cesaro and Sheamus will face them for the Raw Tag Team Championship at Extreme Rules. Jeff teased a No Disqualifications stipulation for their match:
This announcement doesn’t come as a surprise, with the Raw Tag Team Division featuring its current top two teams at the next PPV. They aren’t being affected the way the men’s singles stars are, so things look status quo for the tag teams.

Will Extreme Rules be the night the Hardys drop the belts? It would cap off a two-month reign for Matt and Jeff’s return, which is somewhat short. As we saw with New Day’s year-plus run with the belts, it can hurt the tag team division to not put other teams in featured spots. So if WWE decides they want to end this title run at Extreme Rules, then it may be the second opportunity for Cesaro and Sheamus since December.
As for SheaCesaro, they have been around the Raw Tag Team Championship picture for much of the past five months. It resulted in them ending New Day’s record-setting reign, but only to have their own last six weeks. Are they ready for another chance so soon?

More matches should be added to the Extreme Rules card — potentially on Monday’s show. What could be seen?
