SmackDown Live’s latest pay-per-view was WWE Backlash in Chicago. Here are some of the best and worst moments of the night.

Capping off an exciting weekend in Chicago for WWE on Sunday was Backlash. After the great TakeOver event NXT held the night before, SmackDown Live had their work cut out for them to keep up.

All things considered, Backlash put on a pretty solid show. There was something on the card for everyone. Three title matches headlined the show, as well as the in-ring debut of Shinsuke Nakamura. There were serious beatings, more light-hearted moments, and a couple of high-quality matches over the course of the evening.

With one notable title change on the show, not too much will look differently come Tuesday’s next episode of SmackDown Live. But that one title change was a doozy, and it is polarizing for the WWE Universe. We’ll get to that in a little bit.

Whenever WWE produces a major show like this, some things will always be seen as good, and others bad. Whether it’s a match result, the overall match quality, a surprising debut, or something else, there’s always best moments and worst moments. It’s all subjective, of course; no one person is the ultimate source for what’s good and what’s not.
