WWE NXT: Spoilers for June 2017

The first WWE NXT taping after NXT TakeOver: Chicago took place on Thursday night.

On Thursday night, the latest WWE NXT recording emanated from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL. It was the first one since Saturday’s NXT TakeOver: Chicago and featured some of the brand’s top Superstars in action.

WWE NXT often doesn’t tape in order anymore, so these matches and promos can appear in any combination for the following few weeks of episodes. What took place? Was there an injury update for Tommaso Ciampa? Results can be seen below, via Wrestling Inc and Cageside Seats:

• Jeet Rama defeated Chris Silvio in a dark match.
• Tyler Bate defeated Steve Cutler.
• Tommaso Ciampa cut a promo while on crutches. He got hurt, but vowed return as the most dangerous man in wrestling.
• Pete Dunne defeated Danny Burch. Dunne then cut a promo about Tyler Bate.
• Cezar Bononi defeated Andrade “Cien” Almas.
• Roderick Strong and Eric Young defeated Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe. No Way Jose returned to help fend off SAnitY.
• Dana Warrior gave a WWE Hero award to a local teacher.
• Heavy Machinery defeated Lars Sullivan and an enhancement talent. Sullivan attacked his partner, after the match.
• Peyton Royce defeated Sarah Logan.
• Hideo Itami vs. Oney Lorcan ended in a no contest, as Itami kept hitting his GTS finisher on Lorcan and refused to stop. Kassius Ohno made the save and nearly came to blows with Itami, which goes off what happened with them after TakeOver.
• Killian Dain defeated No Way Jose.
• Roderick Strong cut a promo about going for the NXT Championship. Bobby Roode interrupts to say he’ll need to earn his opportunity.
• Drew McIntyre defeated Rob Ryzin.
• Ember Moon made her in-ring return and defeated Peyton Royce.
• The Authors of Pain defeated Beastly Brody and Malken. Paul Ellering cut a promo on Heavy Machinery, which brought this team down to the ring. They had a staredown with Akam and Rezar, who left the ring.
• The Velveteen Dream defeated Raul Mendoza.
• A Triple Threat Elimination Match between Asuka, Ruby Riot and Nikki Cross ended in a no contest, when Asuka and Cross brawled all throughout the arena. Riot had already been eliminated.
• Eric Young and Alexander Wolfe defeated The Ealy Brothers.
• Sonya Deville defeated Rachel Evers.
• Aleister Black defeated Kassius Ohno.
