Updated WWE Extreme Rules 2017 Card: Final Matches Added on Raw
By Adam O'Brien
The match card for Sunday’s WWE Extreme Rules pay-per-view appears to be final as of this week’s Raw. How does it look?
This Sunday on June 4, the WWE will host its ninth annual Extreme Rules pay-per-view live from the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Raw-exclusive event, it will consist of four championship bouts, with every title on the brand being defended with the exception of the WWE Universal Championship.
The usual main event title defense will be replaced by a highly anticipated No. 1 contender’s fatal five-way match between Roman Reigns, Finn Bálor, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt and Samoa Joe. The winner will go on to face Brock Lesnar at a later date.
Also taking place will be several rematches from April’s WWE Payback.
These include Austin Aries taking on Neville for the WWE Cruiserweight Title, The Hardy Boyz defending the Raw Tag-Team Titles against Sheamus and Cesaro, and Bayley attempting to reclaim the Raw Women’s Championship from Alexa Bliss.
Before this week’s Monday Night Raw kicked off, WWE also announced that Sasha Banks and Rich Swann will be teaming up to face off against Alicia Fox and Noam Dar.
Although neither were confirmed, the show suggested we will also witness a match between Goldust and R-Truth, as well as a segment in which Big Cass attempts to avenge Enzo Amore’s recent attacks – possibly at the hands of The Revival.
These additions will take the line-up to a potential seven matches, likely finalizing Sunday’s proceedings. You’ll find the full slate of confirmed matches below:
