Brock Lesnar’s next opponent will be determined this Sunday at Extreme Rules, here’s how to watch.
This Sunday is WWE’s Extreme Rules pay per view. The show will be headlined by a fatal 5-way match featuring Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns. The winner of this match will become the number one contender for Brock Lesnar’s WWE Universal Championship.
Extreme Rules will be one of the finally humps to get over before we are officially on the road to SummerSlam. Extreme Rules will be a RAW-exclusive pay per view where four out of the five RAW Championships will be defended. The only non-title match will be a mixed tag team match when Rich Swann and Sasha Banks vs Noam Dar and Alicia Fox.
As previously stated, the event will be headlined by a number one contender’s match fatal 5-way match. The winner of the match involving Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt will face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship.
The RAW Women’s Championship will be defended in a Kendo Stick on a pole match. The current Champion Alexa Bliss will defend her title against former Champion, Bayley. The build to this match has been somewhat lackluster and the stipulation doesn’t do much to elevate it.
Will we finally see the Hardy’s become #Broken when they defend the RAW Tag Team Championships against Sheamus and Cesaro in a Steel Cage match? This may be one of the more surprising matches of the night as I think that we will see new champions. The brutality of the Steel Cage may finally lead to us seeing the Broken Hardy’s in WWE.
Cruiserweight Champion Neville looks to continue his reign of dominance when he defends his title against Austin Aries in a Submission match. Aries was able to get some momentum on this past Monday’s RAW when he made the champion tap out. Could we see a similar result this Sunday?
And finally, there will be no Champion’s Advantage when The Miz challenges Dean Ambrose for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Should Dean Ambrose get disqualified, he will lose his title. The stipulation alone makes it seem like there will be a wacky finish that will see Miz once again capturing the IC Title.
